  1. id like your father's RL712LST haha
  2. valueliners were in the 80's. that's got late 60', early 70's battery boxes on it
  3. watched it last night, was totally pissed off at the amount of drama in this last episode. was pretty up on this show and now pretty let down. agree whats the big f'ing deal about a 60 year old motor being covered with oil or the water pump or balancer shot. really???? come to new England and deal with some rot you freakin pussy.
  4. that's a truck I wouldn't part out but if you did, id be interested in the motor and trans
  5. the one Watts sells isn't like the original, its about 4 inches short on the wrap around.
  6. nice knowin where some of those trucks went also. that yellow and black B61 dump was at Macungie for a few shows them went off the grid
  7. thought they did away with the 611 and 609 and 607 by the time that truck came out, it looks ike a late 70's early 80's truck. should be a 685 by then
  8. 711 definitely has a deeper tone and bark, put a straight pipe on one for a while and it will almost make you want to put a muffler back on it!
  9. its the law in Ny to move over but people still could give a shit, especially if you only have yellow lights and not red or blue
  10. was going to stop last fall but the 22 hr straight driving schedule from Fla didn't align with the museum hours of operation
  11. planed on going but funeral for good friend and former collegue who was killed this week on I90 have taken up those plans.
  12. yup, Fuel injection modules and computer are another 6.0 litre headache. can change injectors about every other oil change. only problem I ever had with the 7.3 was the glow lug harness would burn out and up here in the salt belt of New York the oil coolers would rot right off the engine.
  13. Doug Fetterly use to have and sell some diamond pleat black ones
  14. Had a good friend and colleague killed Monday responding to a call on the I90 NYS Thruway when a tractor trailer crossed the white line and hit him while loading a disabled vehicle onto the flat bed. Probably the worst accident I ever saw, especially since it was a call I should have done and not him. But it was a holiday and he had the day off from his regular job. He was also driving the truck I usually drive everyday. Having a rough time. Can't stress enough for people to move over for emergency or slowed down vehicles! I'm sure someone on here can search Albany, NY news and find the news footage of a tow truck driver killed by a tractor trailer.
  15. yup, the 413, I have the kit but no B models ever came from the factory with one. Maybe late 65-66 there might have been a few dealer installed cause by then everyone knew the 401/402 was junk.
  16. yup, been struggling with a new Freightliner at work, factory shut off didn't work cause it would still draw the batteries down. we ended up putting the disconnect on the ground. it should be anyways in my opinion
  17. nice truck, god I gotta find me a vintage Phelan trailer like that
  18. only the firetrucks came with hemi's.no B model ever came with the 413's. I still have one basically new on a stand out of my B model, must not be worth much, only guy that seems to want it is the scrap guy
  19. Bradshaws is an R600, ex firetruck, think its a 1968. got a pic of it when it was a dumptruck
  20. my personal fav was the 2005 or so to 2010 6.0 litre ford super duty that some moran put the primary fuel filter in the frame rail, that gelled up in the winter AND was right over the tranny mount so you had to be a a magician to get it out, then the fuel ran down your arm, not the mention the plastic was screwed into an aluminum housing that screwed out hard RIGHT to the last thread..
  21. right, never seen a Ford door shut right, back 1950 til around 1971 you could go around a corner with a Ford pickup and the door would fly open
  22. tryin to figure out why a B61 would have a 7.49, that would make it go about 35 mph. 7.49 is a gas job ratio commonly found in B42's
  23. I remember being in Baltimore Maryland for the National show whatever year that was, 2006? 2005? seeing the usps MR tandems runnin around with trailers, hitting every pothole in the city, I don't think the rear ends tires ever touched the ground as hard as they were pounding on them. I don't think id ever wanna own one used...
  24. that had to be my favorite truck of the show, complete with national tow truck sticker, Chattanooga, Tn sticker on the body...
  25. dunno Mike but my B613 when we got it had a 3 speed Brown Lipe and had a MACK shifting pattern just like a regular one for the three speed Brown lipe... sold the trans to a fellow from this site years ago with the green single axle R model with the 413. haven't seen him since, wonder what happened to it.
