  1. no but there is a REALLY good Brewery downtown.... about a mile from Rogers....
  2. gotta love to fact that at any given moment some higher up gets a fart stuck crooked and all of a sudden the price of gas goes up. oh the pipeline broke, oh we cant produce as much as were using, oh the middle east is giving us trouble. but at any given time you can see ships out to sea outside ny and nj that just sit and wait to come into shore til its convenient but we're all so nieve in the governments eyes. no one is as smart as them.....
  3. nice truck, even nicer trailer. one of those is on my list
  4. might be able to buy a repair section for the hood also
  5. I think the 200 and 700 r 4 were both junk compared to a 350 or 400 and m a diehard gm guy. guess its al how you use them.
  6. sure would look good with a Mercury sleeper and some old school 5 hole wheels Mike
  7. 285 and 300+ both have the side mounted intercooler. 300+ was a thermodyne, the 300 in that picture for sale is a 300 maxidyne that was originally connected to a air cooler in front of the radiator. without it id imagine it would be a 250 I'm thinking?
  8. tip turbine was a 300+ Thermodyne, the 300 Maxidyne had the charge air cooler in front of the radiator. I guess guys have put them in B models without the air cooler. would this make it a 250 or something?
  9. 300 slides right in same as a 237, only real issue would be a 72 series trans.
  10. Mack moved the wiper motor to outside cause they use to leak oil and catch the firewall Mat on fire. I talked to an old guy a few weeks ago that drove a 50's B63. said hed have to empty the ash tray daily as it was always full of oil
  11. I guess we need a Macktemberfest?
  12. Bartnicks was originally a B42 with a 401 flathead, then they put in an overhear valve 438, still wasn't enough and they repowered it again with a 673 and 10 speed. before we bought it the guy put a brand new 673 in it and painted it god aweful waste management purple. it doesn't looks as good anymore, years of salt on the NYS Thruway took its toll
  13. agree, some nice East Manufacturing diamond plate fenders on the old girl, give it a tough look
  14. the more junk I keep buying, the less funds I have for my future garage/storage building...
  15. the first few were in October, then it changed
  16. agree, id love to have it myself
  17. sold a few vehicles that have made me sick to Mike. we are all in the same boat. I guess we all need endless funds and bigger garages.....
  18. stupid ques but how is Pa gonna know if there are trophys or ribbons? I have actually heard of dot harassin someone over sellin t shirts at a show, that were transported to the show in a historic vehicle tho
  19. agree 3500 and id love to have it, for less of course. you can get a 237 in an A model . there is a really nice red tandem one around the guy did an amazing job on but it is shoehorned in there.
  20. Napa is pretty good with getting seals, just got rear ones for a 71 R model from Napa today. the FA505 in your B42 was a common axle and used into the early 70's in the R model, all they changed is the width of the beam, should be fairly easy to get seals for.
  21. pre 59 with the old style mirror bracket holes that wrap down and the windshield wiper motor under the dash...
  22. agree, twin I beam Ford dream was a big POS
  23. could be Mike. it doesn't have the standard diamond plate top bumper plate like a firetruck
  24. Frame looks pretty clean and rust free for being an oil truck. must have not seen much harsh climate to blow those fish plates out.
  25. I think Perry Young's white and green one is one serial number off from that one if I recall??
