  1. One of very few fire trucks I have seen with a green interior.
  2. I like that beige color. any idea what the SEM code was for that?
  3. I'm thinkin maybe the polaroid is reversed in the two pictures? that's why the air cleaner is on the wrong side?
  4. I have seen at least one other R model with the cast radiator and glass hood. believe it was white . cant remember where I saw it

  7. not related but saw a few of PJ's Macks on the thruway I90 today in Schuyler when I passed them with a Roosevelt tow truck....
  8. something with the U doesn't jive. those are B model style hub caps. around 1960 they came out with the flat style 6 and 8 hole front hub caps. looks like a front axle swap to me or maybe a UCR???
  9. I dunno but my 86 Iroc Z tpi I usually use a short 5/8 by 9/16 wrench to change all the plugs. must bea GM thing but I wouldn't give them up for the blue oval stuff
  10. pictures please
  11. heavy spec B61sx by the looks of the straight across U B81 series front axle. I wonder if hes gonna bother to get out his height stick??
  12. yup, never use paint stripper on fiberglass. you might as well scrap it after as you never get the chemical back and and a year or so later the paint will bubble
  13. I have seen a 75 gallon round B model passenger side tank as well, was on an F model at the time . id say that was a rare beast
  14. id personally get a foot or two added as well. lot easier to cut it off after than add it. makes it easier to put pintle plate and mud flap hangers etc on after and wont have them too close to the tire.
  15. yup, same with mine, blasted and used good body filler as long as its not rotten enough to be a structural problem. even welded up some extra holes and duraglassed them and filled over them. smooth as glass. there is another product out there called almost metal or something that's a two part body filler to
  16. had one about the twin to that at work, ex Ryder truck, 300 9 speed roadranger with horrible double frame split. sold for 12,500 to and exporter at auction, god bless them
  17. I assume this would have about the same drivetrain as say an RM with a 285 or 300 with a 5 speed and divorced transfer case? one of the best options Mack ever had was that divorced transfer case
  18. looks like a mutt .... the hood scoop isn't connected to anything at all and I don't remember what year they came out but it was a lot later than 67, more like 74ish?
  19. gotta say Tacks Brock is a sharp truck but I think it looked better orange and black with black steel buds on the front, just my opinion
  20. I have multiple sets, none for sale. They show up on ebayalot. Not all that uncommon of a part
  21. 50 bucks a piece is fair and up. They are not that uncommon
  22. leave the spokes, clean them up and paint them nice, god so many R models have been devirginized
  23. interesting. I know some of the newer B models had the push button resets, don't see many tho
  24. so was that ca beige originally or did you do a little L model vintage magic? and in not up on the L cabbed B models, were the reset buttons for the circuit breakers always in the middle of the dash?
  25. now theres a truck that could get me in trouble.....
