  1. ill take one, was always a fan of the beige interior. never much cared for the silvery color. ..
  2. is that a 285 or 315 Jim? god that looks sweet in there. I'm assuming a 286 with 6 speed?if so how about some shifting lever pics and motor mounts?
  3. id rather have rust free than dent free anyday. 300 plus would be a F712 I think.
  4. I remember that maroon B61ST with red frame and black fenders at Macungie probably 20 years ago, that's on the list of ''Trucks that have dissapeared''
  5. had the Daily diesel dose.com guys show up at our yard and photograph a few old Macks this past Monday. check it out when you guys get the chance
  6. positive, the 291 331 and 401/401 flathead was made by continental and badged as Mack
  7. same church, same phew, happens all the time,, yup gonna fix I one day, NO its not for sale, one day its gone. then ya find out it sat too long and he got in over his head and didn't remember you even asked about it or the old man died and his wife junked it .
  8. b42 would have a 401 continental and filter housing is bolted directly to the block. used a cartridge filter, honestly probably didn't do much
  9. Happy Anniversary
  10. at this day in age and modifications it could be a detuned valueliner engine on up to a 300 or 350. looks like a clean truck and a good deal but it will probably get a boat ride for that price
  11. is it just me or does Bills backhoe R model look like it has two 1 ton mason dump bodies welded together????
  12. drive it like normal, don't lug it and youll be fine with a 237, 300 is pushing it but if your the only one driving it it will probably hold up. 673B and C engines are like hens teeth unless you find an old firetruck
  13. whatever B model and Rmodel parts you have, air tanks, sheet metal, etc, thanks
  14. some pictures would be nice instead of all this leading along BS
  15. agree, that looks like a standard 505 rebuildable end to me.
  16. I messaged that guy on craigslist to about tanks, said he gets $450, has sold a ton and no dickering. hated to tell him but not MANY B models had the short pass tank, cant be that many out there to sell.the 75 gallon driver side are a dime a dozen
  17. have seen that yellow and maroon one around for a few years. wondered where they were from
  18. there is also ''long stroke '' and ''short stroke''. one has the round ports, one has the square ports
  19. there is also a Quality Carriers in Upstate NY, Jeff Eaton does the trucking do I'm assuming he is leased onto the other QC. the ones with the QC and nice shiny tanks.
  20. as common as the 505 and 517 and 522 was. this makes me sick to my stomach. the 505 was still runnin into the early 70's with the R model but it was a 2'' wider beam.
  21. agree. up north to. saw a 55 gal pass one at Macungie, beat to shit, $350. I want a short passenger one but not that bad
  22. always hated those setups where the compressor tube went to the air cleaner tube. just think how hard it was for that little compressor to try to suck a little air to make some when most was getting used up by the engine suckin it in the air intake.always liked the little filter on the side of the compressor myself
  23. im guessing it was a single axle tractor originally that was stretched.
  24. not only is the frame bent, its been rode hard and out away wet more than once.
