  1. looks like it has a 10 speed duplex with a 3 speed brownie box
  2. ran atf in my b61 when I put it together, was way too loose in the steering, 15 40 is what the old stuff requires I think. finally got fed up with the sheppard power steering and put ARMSTRONG steering back in it.... cough cough
  3. I know its been mentioned here before and 39babymack Ron said something about timing an injection pump. what is involved in takin a bad pump off a 237 and putting one on from a running engine? I have had pump off many 673's and 711's but they were just take one pump off, don't turn engine and put pump back on. would anything have to be timed? I have a good running 237 with a bad pump and have one off a runnin 237 to put on. just asking??
  4. going to hang out with Ole' Waylon, the hoss I hope....
  5. gotta say lately I have seen three of those trucks with sheet metal covering the hole and 379 pete pedestal mount headlights comin off the grille. I figured the guys were just hacks but maybe those headlight assemblies are like hens teeth??
  6. might cut down Larry but let me tell you I have driven mine when it was down to 10 degrees, even with new seals its pretty cold next to the door! I have the big heater in mine, high is too hot, low is too cold to
  7. usually Napa has any of those points, condenser and cap for those 6 cylinder continental/Mack flatheads. pretty common 12 volt parts.
  8. did you find a clamp Larry? gotta say most 237's I have seen didn't have the cast downpipe, just the exhaust tube one.
  9. probably a pair of those fancy blue or red colored Timberland work boots.....
  10. UGH
  11. kinda depends if your looking for work quality or show quality as to what you use. show truck id use PPG single stage or the like. work truck id use chassis saver paint or rustoleum.
  12. first out trucks, now our knowledge. what else do they want over there?
  13. I dunno about Chinese tires lately. with some of the junk ones we have put on at work id stay away from Goodrides or the likes. put some on a few oil trucks cause that's what the company wanted... drivers were complainin they shake. well I jacked the truck up, left and inch gap between tire and floor and spun the tires..... it hits the floor in two spots they are so out of round. this was a 11 22 5. we have had some horrible luck with 19.5 Chinese junk tires also Goodrides and another one I cant recall but its a Hercules look alike
  14. it will fit Larry I believe. we put a 237 in my cousins B model (AdirondackMack) and used the DM 180 degree fiberglass elbow and his engine had the bigger older style turbo like yours.
  15. wow, i wouldnt have thought one of those would be available for the past 10 years.
  16. I agree. sounds like it runs good Larry. and my truck has the bigger radiator. I had to shoehorn It back into the color and you can see where it rubbed originally on the sides and I had to take the draincock out of it to get it out
  17. the B613's and B61SX's and special orders usually had the bigger radiator like you have. the one that pretty much fills the horse collar. the cheaper smaller radiator was squared off at the top and bottom and not angled like yours to fit the horse collar. dunno really how much more cooling it was but the tanks were def bigger
  18. that nice silver and black one use to be Doug Fetterly's truck. my understanding is the Rl600 and rl700 had nothing in common. the RL700 was a long hood, replaced by the Superliner. the RL600valueliner was just that, a cheaper lighter truck. they both offered the 300+ and roadrangers but the frames, cabs, hoods were totally different.
  19. yup, most valueliners I have seen have the ridge down the center of the hood
  20. nice work . looks like your truck has the bigger turbo radiator. shouldn't have any trouble cooling that 237
  21. keep us posted. usually they have'' no idea about the truck'' and one day it just disappears and ends up scrapped
  22. that little B42 dump looks too good to just be sitting there.
  23. I have one of those grille guards in my scrap pile somewhere. Virginia in the B?? might need a chiropractor after.
  24. yup a lot of B models wore those ASF Simplex wheels
  25. I like it. Shipping to Ny would be a killer tho
