  1. was hoping for some pics of the air tanks, air cleaner and the rest of the truck
  2. its wayyy too difficult for people to post pictures of stuff for sale anymore, I guess we all have to be mind readers and just start visualizing stuff.........
  3. ? pictures
  4. white and black one looks like a B615
  5. still available from Mack, I just bought a few about a year ago
  6. i thought 65-68 they used the B model lenses. i know the R models my fam had were 65's and they had them. i know at some point tho they got rid of the porcelin lens and went to a molded plastic look alike where the chrome and lens was all one
  7. not Mack related but since we are all in the restoration business, im workin on an 84 Z28 Camaro, rebuilding the heater box while I have the interior gutted. anyone know where I can get the foam material most all auto manufacturers used in these? they make kits for most older cars but nothing thing new. id like to buy some 1/8 or 3/16 inch self sticky foam bulk and cut my own to replace the old dried up stuff. you know the stuff you touch and it dissintegrates in your hand.
  8. too far gone= after it leaves the crusher. anything else usually has some parts to give at least
  9. the good old days Mike and good OLD Mack Dealers....I have heard stories of my great grandfather trading B models into Utica Mack back in the day and pickin up the new truck and the salesman would say,'' John are you still using that old truck?'', hed say yes and they'd say ''well take the new one and just bring the trade in back whenever'' and a few times the trade in NEVER showed up. he would also go to the Mack garage on sundays just to HELP the guys rebuild transmissions and motors just for the hell of it and to stay up on things.
  10. pictures please
  11. i ran a mix of copper and new plastic when I redid my B. used the copper on the firewall, copper from the compressor to a stainless braided line across the compressor and copper back to the air tank. copper up the treadle valve, tractor valve . I added spring brakes and ran that in plastic alone with all the line for the trolley valve. I was at the same point you are. kinda wish I ran all plastic now but it is what it is. I have seen the plastic actually wear a spot in the frame rather than the line.
  12. I remember Ed Blask Ford. theres one from the past
  13. I think the first one was a prototype and built in 1961? it has the fiberglass hood formed around to cover the duct pipes for the air cleaner. All the early R models had shutters I think and the fake shutters on the outside
  14. agree Jim, no contour cab. id like a B73 and a B75 single axle, a b813SX, a B613lst(Mike knows) a stock 66-72 solid green dash R model, a clean tan dash 70's R model , a Steel nose R600 and might as well throw in an LJ and A model in there somewhere
  15. im liking the rusty E with the broken windshield.
  16. my B model has this engine in it end707 (711). gotta say it was a POS when I had a 10 speed duplex behind it. put a 15 speed triplex behind it and its a whole different animal.
  17. <------sure would like to win the Powerball so I can clean up Mike's yard
  18. so what?? god forbid it actually go down and we can actually survive and drive a 1/2 ton truck around or have a hot rod or an old Mack to enjoy rather than worrying about how much it will cost to fill the tank for worrying if we cant drive it much because its too bad on gas???
  19. price reflects about 1999-2004 timeframe.......
  20. frame looks pretty rough otherwise a nice truck, its all there, runnin and driving, with a 237 already so its probably a 3500-5500 truck. motor alone is probably worth 3 k
  21. yup, they still have two old B model behind their terminal in Ft Edward/glens falls.
  22. nothin better than an old two tone R model hooked to a Fruehauf bathtub...
  23. the yellow one was originally a single axle I think
  24. my B613 has the same shroud as the one in your picture. it bolts to the horse collar and not the radiator. only the B613's and the B61SX's with the turbo 673 or 711's I have seen have that shroud like the one in you picture because they had the bigger radiator that filled the horse collar. I have never seen a shroud on a smaller radiator.
