  1. kinda think its the same truck. they painted the bumper and air cleaner silver.
  2. i remember swamp loggers. was a decent show with Bobby Goodson and his sister driving the white Mack Rd. probably why its not longer on the air. about 5 years ago there was a dirt track race car show on discovers or one of them around North Carolina. was on one season and that was it. they probably didn't think there was enough drama and as far as I could tell Hugh seemed alright in York Pa makin money for doing nothing
  3. there was different variations. by far the best was probably the Shepard power steering box. don't think that was available til at least after 1961. there was also air assist and there were some that had a hydraulic drag link and some that had a hydraulic drag link and a hydraulic cylinder on the tie rod.
  4. cant believe myself its been on so many seasons. the first season sucked, the second and so on. way to make truck drivers look like a bunch of drama queens and idiots. every show on tv is getting the same. I liked Fast and Loud when it first started, they ruined that show to. don't show any how to anymore just a bunch of rich idiots doin whatever they want and jewing people down when they buy stuff off them. same with the new one Vegas rat rods. first episode was decent, after that, all tv drama. and what about the two spin offs from the Pawn stars morans? Counting cars and the restoration guy. if the count was following me around lookin like that tryin to buy my stuff, id probably brake check him, then shoot at him. I think one of the most decent shows is Graveyard Carz and even that's getting too dramatic. only reason I watch it is cause they are so fanatic about details in a restoration.
  5. city delivery truck. about what they were meant for. people overused and abused them.
  6. I wouldn't put ''Flathead'' and ''Power'' in the same sentence when referring to a B42 with a 401 Continental........
  7. theres a company near us that use to straighten rear end housings all the time, think they still do. Back In the day when they were building I90 and I81 thru New York and Syracuse I heard many of stories about poor B models being pushed with D8's thru the mud and the housings would bend backwards. my grandfather still has a few housings and trucks in the pile that have bent axles from this practice. This was long before the articulated dump trucks when everything was done with small trucks. I remember horror stories about takin a B mode, chaining on the exhaust and takin the petcocks out of the air tanks and putting in plugs so when they got pushed thru the mud, stuff wouldn't get broke off.
  8. you could spec a concave cab on many B models, B67, B61, B42,B68 etc. if that's a solid truck, top dollar on that would be $3500-$5000 in my eyes. A B61 that's been 'surface restored' meanin old tires, not taken apart, just cleaned, painted, engine and trans and rear not rebuilt would be worth $9500-$12500 im thinking. One that's been frame off restored, new tires, brakes, been taken right down to the frame and put back together with new paint, interior, etc would bring $20,000-$35,000 im thinking. All depends whos buying to, you can ask whatever you want, might not get it.
  9. ouch restored price for a non restored B42 with 'resale red' paint
  10. no, i had be directed to where they are....
  11. western long hood R with old school bias ply tires is about as nice as it can get.
  12. I remember one show I went to, cant remember which but someone said they were getting hassled by the men in suits at a weigh station check that they should have been waved right on thru. said they asked them everything under the sun about their historic plates including ''do you receive any cash prizes and do you sell any t shirts at the show that you transported in your truck??'' unreal.
  13. yup, don't use bleach white. it will definitely make the colors bleed. same with armor all. think id try regular car wash soap or maybe mild dish soap and a brush..
  14. for the fourth year in a row I was asked to lead the local bikers on a toy run . this years proceeds went to the grandchildren of the Nomad bike clubs Veterans. in previous years it went to under priveleged children and people who got flooded out in recent years floods. each biker has to donate a toy and $10 for a buffet at the end. led them over 120 miles this year to four different bars stops.
  15. that would be a normal look for every worn out farm pickup with cobbled up stacks over here in the states.....must be im missin something. all the kids think that's cool when their 1 tons smoke .

  19. nice truck. id like to have it, take a football field to turn it around tho.
  20. looks like its runnin about 7.50 20 tires to. someone sure did some cobification to that poor thing
  21. a 20 or 18 speed quad actually weighs a lil more than the engine I think. probably both together would be around 4400lbs
  22. that R model and trailer needs saving.
  23. agree. will be about worthless with one driving axle and why waste the time doing it. years ago when the length laws changed and everyone tagged their single axle it made them a pos to get around with
  24. lookin good but Ranchhopper, they are never 'done' haha
  25. what critisizm? he asked how the 864's were. they were pos's that's why most are repowered. the 865 866 and E9 were great motors, ask anyone whos ran an 866 or E9. don't want my opinion, don't fuckin ask, and have a nice day!
