  1. i have even seen some of the early ones stamped really low on the rail almost into the curve and hard to read.
  2. the green one that comes to Macungie was an ex firetruck body to. Kevin All built it for Dennis around the same time he built his blue 4 by 4 one. he stuck it on an F350 chassis and just used the mack cab and cut the door frames and turned the doors around. he also cut the floor right out f the B and simply placed it over the Ford one, pretty slick.
  3. as long as there is money to be made, we will never drill for our own oil or resources. we have plenty of oil in Wyoming and other western states that we QUIT sucking out of the ground In the 80's because it was far better for us to buy it from the middle east because is made everyone in power a lot more money...
  4. I agree. 3k tops for sheet metal, rest of the truck is stripped and on top of that its another juice brake nightmare most likely. someone stripped all the controls out along with the inside windshield wipers which are about impossible to find. cab floor is rotted and the chrome bumper bent
  5. theres a big difference between an END673C and an ENDT673C. most 673C NATURALLY aspirated engine had the split intake ''Power Ram'' like the 673P and 711 engines. and ALL were in B models. I know of a few factory installed B models with the better turbo engine. I talked to one of the original owners today who says that engine in this particular truck has about 1000 hours on it so the engine itself it worth some money and THIS truck was restored back when Tidewater Mack was selling B model parts reasonable and he put a lot of new and NOS chrome and other parts on it. this truck is 15 min from me and if I was in the market id pick it right up. you couldn't built a single axle B model with those specs with a good turbo engine and one compatible with a Triplex for that kinda money
  6. but we're such a peaceful country, no need to get violent with anyone, lets just all sit back and be a bunch of pussies like the government wants us to be..........
  7. really? when are we gonna grow some balls and start slaughtering these bastards before they get to us???
  8. so what am I missing here Tim?? did you totally move to NZ or tryin it out and kicking the tires?
  9. now im kinda curious if ANY B model firetrucks ever left the factory with anything but a 5 speed? did any have two sticks?
  10. damn that's a load of pics right there. im liking that B61SE with the cast radiator. im guessin that 1935 BM is one of Bob Browns old trucks? Superdog would know.
  11. yup the even and odd system didn't apply to fire trucks. most were 707 gassers. some of the last B85 Mack firetrucks were fitted with 673 diesels to. they also made a few B60F firetrucks to I believe that had 464's in them. this is most likely a firetruck with the spotlights and the dual ignition shutoff you can almost see by the steering column. dead give away would be the door tag reading B85F or seeing if the engine has two distributors.
  12. I would assume someone added the two stick duplex when they removed the hose bed? looks like a 67 series 10 speed with the sticks bent. either way that's a nice truck. im drooling over the nice beige steering wheel myself. I think that truck was for sale in double clutch back in the 90's actually.
  13. nope you didn't miss the Ballston spa show Vin. that's in Sept, third week. I agree with you guys, hate seein a B cut up but at least it didn't head to china. I liked his rigging with the bracketry mountin the front axle but not really sure I like the added on piece of pipe to the drag link either. maybe that's why it showed up on a rollback?
  14. agree, despise walmart and hate buyin anything there mainly because I hate the smell of China junk.
  15. so im budd wheel stupid. they made tube type and radial type 5 hole Alcoas?
  16. was hot last year at that show also. guess summer is finally here after 2 months of rain
  17. now I definitely gotta post the pics. I found them the other day of it all together. whats the chances you parted with a Utica Boilers Mack on the same day as the Boilermakers road race here in upstate Ny. was a hot day to, I feel for the runners, 15K run! obviously the road race is named for the famed home and industrial boilers that have been made in Utica Ny forever
  18. hahaha hot as hell. glad we brought the EZ up. wont go to a show without one anymore.
  19. that back one the remains of the one that I know of that came from Upstate Ny Mike? came from Utica Boilers. coincidentally, the Boilermaker road race was today....
  20. nice. what happened to Hallamore? they still around? they use to have a B model and I think R model at Macungie years ago. have not seen them in years.
  21. i know this is taboo to all of us but went to a show in Ballston spa Ny today, big car, truck whatever show, this truck was there. I looked at it over a year ago when it was a real truck. guy had it for sale but couldn't sell it, don't remember if he wanted too much or not but I know it had an air starter and nice tank and its gone now. anyways the floor was rotted bad before, It was probably destined for scrap but at least it got saved. I am not really a fan but least it got saved and there is some nice workman ship in it and he used almost all the original parts, even was runnin a 10 speed duplex and 673 that he put a big turbo on.
  22. that sure is one handy machine right there. I wonder why it says GAS on the fuel tank tho??????
  23. post where your from, that helps . doesn't help if someone in Fla says they have them but has to ship them to Alaska...
  24. yup, some of the last B models, mostly B81's came with the ENDT673B and ENDT673C. not to be confused with the END673T which was a pos. think the 673t was 205hp while the B and C motors were 225 and 250. they we available along with the 237 in R models but could be used with a multispeed trans instead of a 5 or 6 speed. the B and C motors also had oil squirters on the pistons and fire rings like a Maxidyne I believe. I agree this is a nice truck and you couldn't put one together for that price.
  25. yup, being a 56 the 673c and 15 speed would not be original. triplex didn't come out til about 58 or 59 . nice truck, its a member on here's old truck
