  1. nope came out of Ford F700 straight truck.
  2. nice truck. I can picture a nice aluminum roll back on that
  3. not turboed. does run good but you know 8.2's, one good, one junk. this one runs excellent tho. make an offer, it china bound, upstate about 45 min west of albany
  4. 1982 8.2 litre Detroit v8 , runs excellent, can hear run, going for scrap in next week if not sold $500 complete with 5 speed trans(scrapped) 1950's Y block 272 or 292 Ford complete air cleaner to pan, did run, (scrapped) 1960's 413 Chrysler industrial engine out of B MODEL MACK complete air cleaner to pan and complete exhaust with all motor mounts to install in B model, runs excellent, less than 200 miles on it.
  5. 1953, waaaaayyyy long before they tried to work on one of our favorite Mack models thru those removeable fender panels... hahah
  6. the big rip of state of New York has two plates, yellow ugly ones and old white ones. coincidentally we VOTED down the new yellow ones and the following year we got them shoved down our throat anyways. if they wanted to save money, only issue one plate,, and our sticker are on the windshield for registration AND INSPECTION which is another scam.
  7. I talked to him a few years ago at Macungie with it. cant really remember but he knew old B models better than I do I think. I think he either has a 237 or a 673C motor in it, R model tanks and he used the rear air ride from a school bus. he is runnin the original Mack rear I think and spring hangers and I think drilled out the front spring hangers to accept the Z bar for the air ride then used the back original spring hangers for shock mounts. was pretty slick.
  8. New York State does also. its illegal to back your vehicle into any state road from a private road or driveway.
  9. curtis lumber in balston spa has a show every year. open to all trucks, cars, motorcycles, jeeps, everything. I hear this year they even have a jeep try out track? never been there so I figured wed check it out.
  10. very nice show. went there for the 1st time last year. got there before noon and had trouble finding a place to park. we are going to a show in Balston Spa Ny this sunday or we'd probably go to Mass
  11. yup, the hard way. take it off and soak it or use something to scrape the grease out. its a bad design.
  12. yup, doesn't come apart..... I have thought of putting a dry type in one of those myself. I have a few canisters that someone gutter already.
  13. heard on the news yesterday that they are takin the Dukes of Hazzard reruns off the air permanently now because the flag is racist.... what is the world coming to...
  14. thought Gary Mahan had the ''End of the line'' truck and got it from Yaworski and that's the one painted orange?? I know we talked about this before
  15. I remember that truck he made and had at Macungie. would he a damn shame if after all that work, that's how that custom B ended up
  16. i agree. the t bar has been around since the B model was on the production line and was in every ford, chevy, Brockway and every forklift known to man but got forbid we provide seat covers or shocks for it. I have been to witts end tryin to find an air ride seat to fit my B model and gave up, that's why the T bar is still in there. I cannot believe Bostrom discontinued such a universal seat.
  17. that's what got me Jim. it was a Bostrom 905 just like Barry sells but it was below the window like an original B model seat. got me thinkin maybe someone had an upholsterer cut the headrest part off and maybe reform the cover? either way it was a nice truck
  18. i talked to that guy a while at Macungie. nice bunch of guys, said his friend bought that truck all done in the last year or so and it was restored by someone over 15 years ago. said he bought it off craigslist or ebay and it came from Louisiana. I took pictures because it had a bulldog logo 905 Bostrom just like Barry sells but it was a really low back seat, not the mid back Barry sells. id like that seat but good luck finding one. same guy that brought that B there has a single axle yellow Superdog with a fresh Detroit in it. pretty sure theres burnout videos of It on youtube
  19. looks like someone miniaturized another B. probably on a 1 ton dump truck frame with dump box. headlight panels have been sectioned between the bulb and the radiator shell. the visor and windshields and cab have been channeled to, unless its the angle of the pic..
  20. boy that B sure sounds good with the straight pipe on it to
  21. theres actually a kid driving around our town that has a worn out dodge with a different color bed and doors than the cab with at least 5'' dual straight pipes comin out the back behind each back tire. god only knows how he got those big pipes all the way under the truck.
  22. bout fed up with the f'in stack trend and the wound up turbo trend myself along with ever other asshole with a worn out 6.9 liter 80's ford pickup with 10 different color body panels that feels the need to rev their piece of shit up about 20 times a night when they go by my house and see my B model parked in the driveway. I DONT CARE what you drive. I DONT CARE if it a diesel and I DONT CARE if you have $1000 worth of chrome stacks on you $500 pickup, why don't you go out and be a truck driver if you wanna drive a diesel.
  23. i rememeber the B87 and B61 CZ lawncare trucks at Macungie years ago. always spotless. always wondered what happened to them as a the B61 dump was on ebay a few years back
  24. ok shoot me but I see an R model with a set of Timken rears and Hendrickson suspensions. they are probably better off cut behind the cab and used as a parts truck for a real R model. least they will still be going somewhere.
  25. more power, ac, more leg room, more head room, god let me move the seat back another 4 inches and why is the windshield fogging up with the defroster on high when its raining.... haha
