  1. haha his 300+ is in a B model I think Jim. dealer wouldn't have a clue.
  2. looks like one has a Mack trans and one has a Spicer box. still both nice saves.
  3. that's got vinny written all over it. but the price has Matt written all over it. lookin more tempting to me.....
  4. yup, noticed the same thing myself. the interior pic had the velocity stack on the air cleaner and neither truck did
  5. no,Mike said $150/head.... is that the going rate????
  6. take the side cover off, keep sprayin it up with some PB blaster. after a week or so, stick a big screwdriver in the troublesome springs and gently tap down. turn the engine over and repeat til they all go up and down. worst case youll have to unhook the lines and take the pump off let it soak in kerosene for a week or so and do the same technique.
  7. so Mike are there gonna be tours of your place when the National Show is out your way?? Maybe you could even charge some outrageous price like the $75 Harley and Mack tours at York??
  8. Happy Birthday Ron. sorry couldn't stick around yesterday. glad we got to talk briefly
  9. only one I ever saw with the Mack script all the way forward on the hood. looks like a nice piece.
  10. yup, knew he sectioned the cab . looks like he might have done both of those green trucks? one looks to have a standard hood shortened, and the other an aluminum B67 hood. I think I could handle all that except would need some guidance on the fenders. the fenders look perfectly scaled down. looks like he took a few inches out of the whole center of the fender, then cut it in half and took about 3 inches out the other way. he also sectioned the shell, then had it rechromed I see. I remember when that truck was first done before Tackaberry owned it. the all green one that is. the green and red one could almost be a twin
  11. I saved the clutch cable and bracket. can you take a few pics of the clutch set up when you get a chance Jim?
  12. I have a 237 and 6 speed two stick I have been thinkin about putting in a B42/B61 conversion. I have the engine mounts out of the DM it came out of and they almost look like they would bolt up where the B model ones were. guess ill have to check. I don't mind a few new holes but I hate to drill 8 new ones. have to figure out the push to pull clutch to.
  13. I hear ya about that Larry. wonder if anyone has put a 6 speed low hole in a B model? I hate to drill more holes in the frame .
  14. wish I had the specs on what George did to cut down that green truck. its scaled perfect. I know he sectioned the cab cause it has no center section or ash tray and he sectioned the hood, shell and fenders. looks like it has a 53-79 Ford or a Dodge Warlock box on it and that fits well to
  15. I put a Tip turbine 300+ in my 66 R600 with the short hood. I used the air cleaner off the 1980 R612 the engine came out of with the two air inlet tubes. you could use a hood scoop just have to make up brackets to mount the under hood filter to the radiator support I think.
  16. I remember when kevin 1st had that mocked up and had a gasser chevy in it and the fire truck cab. I always liked Tackaberrys green one. use to be at Macungie years ago, I remember it before he owned it. I think George Sprowl out of Maine did the green one for Tack. he also has done a few other red B models for guys pullin campers and I know he has scaled down a 359 Pete to and its yellow.
  17. thinkin about putting another B together with a 237 and duplex but am kinda worried about that dead pedal problem everyone talks about .
  18. doesn't your 237 already have a coolant filter? if not it must be a really early one. I have only saw a few 237's with the 711 style water manifold and the big lubrifiner canister instead of spin ons.
  19. Farmer is right, dont see too many single axle R tractors anymore. most got turned into dump trucks.we need some better pics of the mint green one in the background Alex.
  20. at least two blocks high to keep the walls from rotting and water off them and DONT use black metal pipe for air lines. regardless if you have a filter or not, the moisture still makes rust inside and it will ruin a good paint job when the rust particles go thru your spray gun. 220 welding outlets by the door is another good one that's mentioned. most states frown on floor drains and most insurance companies frown on grease pits.
  21. those are some pretty fast rears for a B model even with a slow direct in 5th transmission....
  22. numbers are on a flat machine surface below and to the right the patent numbers and Tetrapoid gears logo and right next to where the front and rear case bolt together
  23. throw the hood on, and drive it to Macungie
