  1. attention Freightrain Larry, theres your front axle!
  2. think that use to be Cliff Sharp's truck?
  3. agree on the radient floor heat. it will make you wanna lay on a creeper on a cold day. forced air oil or gas is a thing of the past
  4. gotta be a rare find to find an R model with a Uni shift....
  5. suppose to be mounted right on the shiftin lever with a brass flipper switch with a funk flat Mack shifting ball. the lever originally had a hole near the bottom and one near the top where the cable came up thu the shifting lever
  6. kinda looks like that was a solid truck. could be put back together with a new front end.
  7. they made a TRD67 and TRD72 series uni shifts. I think the earlier ones were called Mono shifts? seen a few and EVERY one is missing the green Uni shift Medallion out of the shifting ball.
  8. im liking that interior myself Mike. don't see many left around with padded door panels in good shape, brown is a kinda rare color option isn't it Mike?
  9. That's a b61se. Cast radiator was an option and was used for better cooling
  10. god I didn't know there were that many of those cabover Dodges around. must have been half a dozen I counted while walking around.
  11. nope. thanks tho. gonna drive the car down for the day. ran the B model thru about 2 hours of pouring rain and a fogged up windshield to York. we all know how well B model defrosters work.....
  12. that's a pretty confusing chart Jim. so a B model could have been about 4 different numbers for code 400??
  13. Floyd Keyes has had that truck done for as long as I can remember. he also use to have a blueish purple colored B75 with L cab that was on a pete frame I think that I haven't seen in years. did anyone get a pic of the black B model extended cab pickup on the dually frame?? it has a bran new chevy dually box on it and a brand new 7.3 Navistar under the hood but I dunno what frame it was on. whoever did it did an excellent job. that was one of my favorites, along with the LF with the Detroit under the hood and mackdaddys yellow R model.
  14. slider... skidder.... any of those would fit Larry. could have been a lot worse tho, I think it'll buff right out haha. was a nice show minus the insurance card bullshit I dealt with. scored my nice aluminum B model hood from Superdog, thanks Mike. met a lot of nice people. had to leave Friday afternoon because we had a previous thing to get to Saturday but still feel like I lost 10 pounds walking.
  15. Cleaned truck only to get caught in scary downpours on I 81 wed . Got to the Yorktown hotel which is not made for a truck and no previsions to park anywhere for the night. Got to show and they made me jump thru hoops to get in cause I forgot my insurance card. Waited in hot truck for about two hours while we got parked and pictures took. Overall happy we are here but a very poorly set up show in my opinion. Anyone pre registered should not have to wait hours to get parked. Gotta pick up a few things and head back to ny tomorrow afternoon.
  16. only thing B model in that whole pile is the engine. fuel tanks and battery boxes and air tanks are Superliner
  17. i see those Matlack R's have air starter tanks and no battery box on the pass side. don't think I ever saw an R with only one battery box . kinda a shame to see all those big Mack fleets gone and replaced with plain white and blue trucks
  18. im liking that A model integral sleeper myself..
  19. like the trailer. gotta get me one of those soon. and I hope that's an old pic of the camper, with the snow around it... although it was 88 here last week then 34 degrees Thursday night.....
  20. must be the same guy organizes all of our stuff cause my junk I mean parts look about the same... boy that B475 sure looks familiar Mike. old Hemi sounds pretty good out of those dual straight 2 1/2 inch pipes I put on there with Magnaflow tips...
  21. that B30 has air brakes Mike. have not seen many with air either. they are both about 58-59 trucks .
  22. god there wont be an old Mack safe in 20 states now that Mike has a rollback and a wrecker....
  23. we will be cruising in sometime Wednesday, leaving Friday afternoon as we have a family function to get to Saturday. when we talked to Aths they said all trucks are required to stay on grounds for the duration of the show. guess ill miss the Saturday picture.
  24. did you put any glue on it? usually when you paint and put the rubber on the pinchweld, its too shiny to seal. have to put some windshield sealant on the pinchweld before you put the rubber on. DONT use Urethane, youll never get it off. even a little black rtv would work. originally I think Mack put the windshield rubbers in the B models over the red oxide primer and taped it off to paint. least some were done this way.
  25. yup, Vinster is right. was a long lost ones in the book
