kinda suprises me after all these years they chose an R model Mack again for a sequel. maybe there is common sense somewhere.

i guess im missin something but every series parallel switch I have seen is nothing but problems, even a rebuilt one. why not just add a 12 volt starter, two battery cables and two batteries and your done, wire it positive or negative, doesn't matter, switch wires on amp meter and your good to go.

order them while you can. im sure Volvo will discontinue them sometime soon as there is no need as they say.....

NEMF has two B's that I know of. one painted in their gray and maroon colors and a B42 painted up red white and blue

I put R model boxes on my B and they are identical to the one you show in your pic of your MH. has the back and side holes and the smaller holes in the bottom to mount an air tank.

looks like a standard R model box to me. use to be around $150 bucks for bottom and $45 for the top and $90 if you wanted the chrome top up til a few years ago .

yup, agree, get one with a Honda. not much goes wrong besides cleanin the milk out of the bowl of the carb if you leave gas in it. I know everyone around me is using non ethanol or racing fuel fron Napa in their small engines.

maybe aths should actually ask the boy scouts or some non for profit organization to wash trucks. id gladly flip out a $20 for that. I know at the Balston Spa Ny show the boy scouts help direct traffic and park cars and get tips

just bought this 237. was complete and in the truck with trans. I took it out. same old story guy claims he shut it off and it wouldn't start the next day. hand primer would not build any pressure. I put a new hand primer on it and got it to build pressure and return it back in a 5 gallon pail. got her to fire off of ether. changed fuel filter cause and it was pretty dirty. had a little water in it to. primed it back up, got it to fire off ether again, ran but when you tried the throttle it felt like it ran out of fuel. doesn't feel like the rack is stuck but could be? this pump looks like a newer 300+ pump. it doesn't have the side inspection cover like the older thermodynes or early maxidyne pumps so I cant tell if the plungers are stuck. seems like maybe a check valve is stuck? is there one behind the hand pump if I take the 2- 1/4 nuts off and take the whole hand pump primer off? I have another 237 that the crank broke so I could change the pump but I don't think its that deep. the other one had the inspection cover on the side also.

painted my Mack motor Detroit green, not a fan but its clean and the closest and cheapest I could find at the time. isn't too oily yet with a lil over 8000 miles on it since the rattle can rebuild...

the tank on that green tandem is huge bigger than a stock U or R tank , kinda like an old Roadway express truck or St Johnsbury = more ballast on the pass side...

we are coming from NYS . planning on leaving Wednesday morning. will be there later afternoon. still have to put an alternator on the B, maybe two new batteries to be safe and a few other items and a major cleaning. my better half took care of getting ripped off/registration today so we are all set.$25 a piece for us, $15 for the truck and $5 a piece for shuttle passes. im sure Aths will waste it somewhere buyin some sign ill never see. we are stayin at the Yorktowne. probably be the last convention I attend. cant afford it. especially when you can go to Macungie or Balston Spa Ny and pay $2 admission

lookin for both aluminum side covers for a set of Mack top mount hogs heads . these are the covers that say'' Remove cover and two bolts beneath to remove carrier''. they are aluminum with the o ring seal and 4- 3/8 bolt holes. I know some have 6 or 8 bolts holding them on.

yup. B model vent windows are more popular that gold or oil. seems crazy to me as there is not much to them. new glass, you can buy the rubber. I even sandblasted a set and painted them trim black instead of chrome and they look fine with new glass. long as the handle is intact your good to go and if it is, spray it before you break it

the # 40 signal stats that were commonly placed on B models back in the day are worth a little in good shape. they are the the big fat ones but are still 4''. they were also on Power wagons. when Mack started putting west coast mirrors and signal lights on standard they used the ones like Barry sells. the Signal Stat 5600 series and they were on the diecast pedestals on the front of the fenders.
