  1. whats a shame. single axle firetrucks can be had for a song. the guy will probably get pissed with his ridiculous price, and scrap it for $1500
  2. that's gotta be the baldest accessory gauge panel I have ever seen in an R model. usually they are riddled with 5 million holes.
  3. im thinkin they are Valueliners. you can see the Valueliner Oval script on the side of the hood I think. but they have those junk western battery box covers on them also?? looks like they also have the Superdog/Valueliner signal lights also.
  4. that's what I was hoping.....its rare, but its not restored price rare...
  5. weren't the valueliners built in Allentown to or no?? thought I had some pictures of Macungie I took back in the day with a bunch of silver Valueliners in the lot out back.
  6. I hate to say it, but probably as a Hyundai.....
  7. yup most flathead gas jobs, B20, B30 and B42's had the fixed shutters,. the real shutter were an option. all B61's had shutters til they came out with the P motor and changed then intake/water manifold. I think this was around 59. only other oddball was the B53's that had no shutters period and a fixed grille
  8. yup, agree and furthermore, why would anyone leave it outside to sit and rot, with the valve cover off none the less
  9. same here in upstate Ny, a lot of towns have a bunch of Super dutys and non 4x4 class 8 IH and Fords and got rid of their antique Macks and Walters. id like to see what happenens when we actually get a good winter again. we are close to it this year actually.
  10. heres a few I have not seen in years that use to be at Macungie. a few we have discussed before. some may still be around but a few I have not seen in years or ever again at a show for one. a few more B models I have not seen in years are the red and green single axle tractor that said Gravy Train on the cow catcher and a red tandem with a beige steering wheel that said B-ing around on the cow catcher. these use to always be at Macungie. One more that comes to mind is Floyd Keyes bluish colored B70 series with the L cab??
  11. yup, that's the Outlaw truck I remember. I remember it had the pleated vinyl covers on the ends of the fuel tanks. might even be sittin on a Pete frame as the front end sits high in the air.
  12. the yellow one does show some resemblance. think its been at Macungie. has Phantom 309 on it I think or 309 on the fender? I think it has the same chrome headlight panels and he has a 350 4 valve under the hood I think with an Ausie snorkel on the air cleaner and big stacks.

    ATHS

nothing would surprise me with Aths. have to take out a small personal loan to register yourself and trucks for the National show
  14. Friend of ours layed it over gently Friday pushin some banks back workin for the Town. didn't hurt anything. guess it happens to all of us once in a while.. .
  15. looks like the tractor hit a brick wall and a Fruehauf trailer ran over top of it and they made a truck out of it..
  16. been watchin that truck for a while. wish I had the money for it to just sit there . nice setup.
  17. i think we should start a new thread on this subject. Macks that have seemed to disappear. one I can think of is a B61 or B75. was red with a double eagle sleeper I think, red and black with dual stacks and said Outlaw Trucking on it. I remember it was at a show in Hagerstown years and years ago.
  18. does it have a Jake? the 2 valves would wear the valve guides from excessive jake use and would sound like the jake was stuck slightly and make a popping noise when you let off it.
  19. oh no Ken!! not another cart at Macungie!!!
  20. god it would be rough workin for Mack back in the day when the B models rolled down the line..... wonder how many parts went out the back door back then?????? id probably have my own B model built in my garage like Johnny Cash's Cadillac haha
  21. agree, anyone with half a brain should be able to get an old Diesel B model running
  22. pretty nice pictures. that B has bias plys on it. I wonder if they are Chinese??
  23. i was gonna say the same damn thing! must have been a Monday after a good whiskey night truck or something!
  24. 7.3 was the best diesel ford ever had. I heard they couldn't comply with emissions that's why they quit using that engine and went with their own 6.0 instead of the Navistar 7.3. we still have a 99 f350 at work with a 7.3 and over 350,000 miles on it and the odometer has not worked in 7 years and all its had done is the glow plug harness in the valve cover changed twice.
  25. I have one of the brackets that bolts to the cowl somewhere. only have a left but if your handy you can probably make one for the pass side.
