    yup, the Ford dealers raise the cab up on a lift to remove the engine. saw them doin this this past year to a brand new 6.7 litre when we had out junk 6.0 diesel in the shop for a second round of new injectors and fica module at around $3500. don't think Ford should have ever made a 6.0 but we have been over that before. I don't think what your up to is much different than a diesel tho. major operation.

    we put the seat Barry sells in my cousins green B model. I cut down the original seat frame lower to the floor and mounted it, I think its a mid back tho? and still doesn't give you much height. I saw a B at that show with a Bostrom with the bulldog embossed and I thought the seat fit a little better but cant remember the model.

    thinkin of upgrading the Viking T Bar in my B model before the ride to York Pa.. Whats everyone else runnin for seats?? I know Barry sells the Bostrom and have put one in a B model before and I think it a 905? I saw a red single axle B model at Balston Spa Ny show this past year and I think it might have been a low back Bostrom 914 or 915?? I cant remember. was a Mack seat beige with the bulldog embossed. have been tryin to find pictures but cant seem to come up with any. I know a B model is a little tough to find the right seat because you cant have too much height.

    I was at that auction Pat. I think most everything went reasonable. good deal on those trucks.

    looks to be a 78-81ish hood. only ones I know that have the cool ridge on the back on the fender.

    actually its a really good time to sandblast outside in the winter, if you can stand the cold. lot less moisture in the air.

    the old duplexes behind the gasjob B42's do take a little getting use to, you definitely cant shift them as easy as the bigger 72 series duplexes in the diesels.

    given that the box shows TRD720 which is a 9 speed duplex. either they changed all the gears cause the case was cracked which is highly unlikely or they mated a 9 speed to a quadbox back makin it an 18 speed double overdrive. a 9 speed cover wont work on a 10 speed duplex and vise versa and I think its the same for a 18 and 20 speed quad. the forks and locks are in different spots. about the only way to tell is to count the teeth ad compare to one you know has not been screwed with or take it out and rotate it and count the revolutions in to out.

    and from what I know at least Mack is this way but its hard as hell if not impossible to shift a Mack with the Pto engaged

    bring it on. about sick of the single digit cold. least with some snow on the ground it makes it feel a little warmer. im about tired of the media blowin it out of proportion myself. its winter, it storms, get over it. it snows, we deal with it best we can...

    id like to have that trailer behind that U . seems every single axle equipment trailer I find is made out of gold. I thought they were all obsolete now a days....

    yup, back on topic. and as weird as it sounds and off topic for a second but, I believe that B80 series single axle tractor came from the factory with a 413 Chrysler ...
