  1. thought the export ones were B61RST models? the SE's had e cast radiator.
  2. its been on CL a few months I think?? think he wanted 800 originally. I don't care about doors, im more curious how solid the cab is??? are you close enough to take a look at the floor/windshield area? im about 2 hours away and have family down there so if I know its solid id take a ride down with the trailer.
  3. I try not to buy anything Craftsman anymore. been that way for a few years ago, everything is made in China. pissed me off a few years ago when Sears quit makin the old yellow and black tape measures. they started with the red and black ones that all of a sudden weren't warrenteed anymore. I remember when Sears use to actually sell the tape and spring so you could fix and wind up your own tape measure about 10 years ago.
  4. correct. being they are tubeless, the inside ''rib'' is still 20'' while the outer ring that goes thru the tire is 22.5, I that makes any sense...
  5. looks like the climate is a little nicer to stuff over there. I squinted my eyes and imagined what 6-8 years of New York State salt would do to a trailer like that and it wasn't a pretty picture haha
  6. cant believe that F model has not been bought up yet. I might have to look into that B model cut behind the cab after the holidays....
  7. yup. worked out good. had a few local Dpw workers fired here last month for doing the ice bucket challenge at work. seems someone thought it was a good idea to fill a front end loader bucket full of ice and water and dump it over 3 guys who were willing, OSHA didn't think it was so funny.......
  8. I also heard the cars were crushed, read somewhere they were given 4 or 5 , 6.6 litre Ta's for the movie , a few automatics and a few standards. also read somewhere that one of the producers said by the time they finished filming, they barely could keep one going with parts from the others to finish filming cause they were so beat by then.
  9. that's a tough one, they haven't made that seat in a few years. was a perfect uprade for a B model but a hard ass seat for long rides in a Mack.
  10. been tryin to find a Bandit Ta for years. prices have gotten stupid in the past few years. over 25 grand buys you a piece of junk it seems
  11. i don't know about the Mack rears on Hendrickson myself.. and def don't care for the daylight doors or paddle handles.
  12. the original green is available from any automotive paint store that mixes paint. the PPG ditzler code is 40496. there were a few variations I know some trucks were darker than others..
  13. couple quarts of rustoleum and a 4'' foam roller for a quick job. I think the truck looks good. liking the big aggressive rubber and front axle and heavy rears. liked it when it was for sale. always wanted a heavy spec B62 or B61sx just don't have the room atm.
  14. tryin to figure out the reason for the wider cab on the U model myself. kinda defeats the purpose.
  15. nice. looks like you got a good deal on that truck. the tires look like a matched set and are usually the most expensive part of a restoration. the sheet metal looks solid just alil beat up.
  16. <--------------------would love a White western R model steering wheel for his project, just throwin that out there guys..........
  17. 400 in scrap? I paid a lil more than double that for this one but I think it would have sat by the road next to he new machine shop til some scraper bought it up and junked it.
  18. about the only thing id change is the two spoke wheel and those god awful western POS battery box covers than you cant stand on without falling on your ass..
  19. nice save. good thing you got it and not some used truck salesman that would rip the sleeper off and add on some beat up or painted black dump box on it and send it overseas.
  20. the ancient tires were on my mind. tried to blow two up that were flat but they refused to take air so I just drug it. was not worried about the tires as it was a whole 19 degrees out when we started out. its actually pretty solid. roof does not leak and floor is solid. all the crossmembers underneith are stainless C channel and the floor planks are on diagonal. it has 22'' aluminum Alcoa Dayton hubs which are weird. never seen those before. basically the back doors need some work, someone stole all the original Fruehauf lights with the maple leaf looking housings and of course some kids broke all the stainless jeweled reflectors. wiring and brakes and tires and I think it would be roadworthy. its HEAVY. had about 3 ton of steel in it that the local machine shop bought, that's how I got the trailer thru them. and even after unloading it it was still heavy. you really miss a turbocharger when your pullin a lil weight up a hill let me tell you.probably paid a lil much for trailer but oh well. had to have it.
  21. how about the next few videos after that one with the fuckin morans chainin their pickups together and pullin til the tires get smoked off. guess they have more money than I do for rubber
  22. dunno the plans for it yet. for the winter it will be a storage trailer. might be on the for sale block come next spring if I can figure out how to get paperwork for it.
  23. picked up this lil gem today. cold as a bitch in Ny, trailer has been sittin for about 20 years, was froze in the ground. drug it home about 50 miles on some hard ass tires. pretty straight old trailer. needs a lil tlc. has 22'' Alcoa Dayton aluminum. hubs on it. and the best part... still says Roadway Express across the back doors along with the ICC signage plates still screwed to the side.....
  24. ''johnny bar ''use to be the auxillary shifting lever for a 2 or 3 speed brownie box...
