  1. factory plate but something is def bolted to the back side, someone removed the glass fuse holders from yours by the looks of It.
  2. went and looked at my B. batteries I have are called Hitech and are black with a bright blue label. they came from Cook brothers and look like a Deka knockoff but are by far the best batteries I have ever used.
  3. if we all carried chains, that would be the answer, but there is not enough of us smart people to hook the thing in the right spot on both ends. cant fix stupid and the guy tryin to help is usually the one getting sued. cant flat tow ANY vehicle in Ny with a chain. law states , tow dolly, tow bar , or tow truck! I fill in here and there for a local tow company and we have hauled many TT hooked together tho.
  4. agree RSD501. few farmers been getting ripped of in Upstate Ny recently. thieves came in the night and cut the cables right off a farmers new granite, about 4 Dmm's, one R model and a few Dm's and a few new huge John Deere tractors probably would piss me off more the bastards cut the cables right off rather than stealin my batteries!
  5. when I put mine together I used 1'' plate for the fifh wheel, drilled and tapped the bolts for the fifth wheel legs into the plate and welded the back side. its about 40'' wide, 48'' long and 1'' thick. didn't make a bit of difference, so I just run about 40lbs of air pressure in the back tire. like the old guys say, ''got a dog on the hood, it don't ride good''
  6. think I took mine apart and used a generic pin and bushing assortment in the Help section to put them back together. I had to use a reamer to fix the elongated hole tho
  7. nice, and in my area.........
  8. im not sure I know how to say F. O. in a nice way Vinster......
  9. have had better luck with Napa batteries. id stay far away from Federated always had good luck with Deka and I have some other brand in my B model that came from Cook Brothers(Utica,Binghamton Ny and Scranton Pa) dunno what they are but they are black with bright blue lettering. they are by far the best batteries I have ever had. Usually you can get better batteries from a Cat or John Deere equipment dealer also.
  10. nice green dash R model I think that is. don't see many with that heavy spec FA517 or Fa522 front axle and the heavy rear.
  11. picked one up just like that a few years ago for $600. this one must have golden liners or pistons in it or something tho. the one we have is a B67 and was cut off also but they kept the firewall and dash.
  12. gotta love converted single frame road tractor dump trucks...
  13. agree, green firewall and maroon overspray In the door jambs.$7500-$10000 if its solid maybe. but ive never seen a B model with zero rust yet....
  14. who is get the kickback when the volume price is HALF the price of the original truck?? wtf
  15. could have been new as a fleet truck for Ryder or someone. most all their R and U models had 9 and 10 speed roadrangers. and its about damn time you spoke up Vinster!? how long do we have to wave a U model in front of your nose for you to come out now a days??? your slacking!
  16. always liked that square body style Chevelle. never cared for the 70's style even tho it had a 454 and Bmodelboy, wheres the pictures of your BLT? don't see any album, looks like a nice truck. Im a Chevy guy and have a soft spot for the 65 square bodies Chevelles, 55-58 Chevy and GMC pickups and 73-87 pickups, 67-68 Camaros, but would also love a hopped up Model A or 32 or 33 Ford 3 window and have a 56F100 that's been on the back burner since I saved it about 9 years ago from a cokehead wanting to scrap it for quick cash. if I only won he lottery id have a garage full!
  17. def a diesel, looks like a 711 as it had the bigger around air cleaner. B61St's are pretty rare now a days in good shape.
  18. by the looks of that sheet metal screwed patch on the back of the cab it could stand to be recabbed again and 5 spoke hubs are usually 34,000 rears not 38's. still unique with a 285 in it and roadranger
  19. ive actually seen deer fur in a tire bead. I agree on year around hunting, hell they let the amish hunt year around here in Ny and there is still deer everywhere. been listening to the scanner this week and there have been more car vs deer accidents this year than ever before. think ive hit a deer with just about every vehicle ive ever driven
  20. its Mater... was posted on here for sale. pretty solid cab by the looks of it. id like to have a sx model with big rears and big front axle.
  21. im kinda partial to a black dash or a really really clean tan dash, hated the gray interior, and paint and the ugly two spoke steering wheel . im an original kinda guy
  22. i think id fill it with water and find someone with bandsaw big enough and cut one end right off. then you can clean or sandblast the insideand weldte end cap back on.
  23. they are mostly Stewart Warner gauges. you can find them all on ebay all the time. just have to find the right one. compare the 1/4 and 1/2 and 3/4 ad your amp meter and air and oil gauges with the ones on ebay. should be able to get most of them unless you want the original bulldog logo speedo and tach
  24. pictures would help to see what we're dealin with. I have ground and cut the end caps off several B model tanks and sandblasted them on the inside, welded them back together and coated them with ''Red Kote'' from Napa or Eastwood. depends what your tank looks like. if its similar to a square B model one its not that big of a deal.
