  1. yup, with the same user name also??
  2. seen a B61lt with a 318 hooked to the triplex one time. fit right in actually..... . this one looks like they made an extended doghouse and radiator shell
  3. I scrapped a b43 that wa sa snowplow. fenders and doors and frame fallin right off literally and frame was so bad and rear end you couldn't even read any number but it had a 673 and small 67 series 10 speed in it. I saved the motor trans and rear as the engine was rebuilt and im pretty sure someone turned the pump back to 180hp specs. put the engine in another with trans and its a brute.
  4. could be on to something Mike. sure beats being as mad as I am when I put a chip or scratch on mine....
  5. still salvageable piece worth savin. might be registered as a 59 but its older. mirror brackets, along with air horn mount, radiator shell and fuel tank brackets are pre 59. could be really late 58 and was registered as a 59 tho.
  6. agree, once its heated up, paint will NOT stick to it. I dunno why. had a dump box that was burned before, sandblasted it, epoxy primer, painted and the paint would about fall off of it. pick it up cheap and salvage it tho. has original budd front and rear axles and turbo air cleaner parts. all good pieces. is it B613T? an original turbo truck or just has the air cleaner?
  7. ''what is the world comin to. . .''
  8. ha gotta love exporters.. F. O.
  9. pretty sure I put a 42mt on mine. works great with justtwo hot batteries. took my old one to a guy who sells starters alternators and generators and he gave me the 12 volt one. yup, make sure you have 11 teeth. I think a 39mt or 42 works. I think they both have the allenscrews in the back as youll most likely have to reclock the solenoid to miss something. might not have tp reclock it if the starter is on the bottom of the bell housing as apposed to the top.
  10. im sure its a 673 but im also sure its the detuned version. it had the pump turned down to only give it 150hp instead of 180hp and probably has the smaller 67 series duplex. the hp and weight kept it in the B40 series instead of a B60 series
  11. second white blimp hanger across from ''the big road'' Jim, the first one the roof blew off....
  12. happy birthday but I think I just threw up in my mouth...
  13. they didnt run out of that nasty olive color fast enough in my book.... kinda odd seein a 73 F model in green tho. honestly don't think ive seen any in my lifetime newer than a 72 anyways. and I second that comment about the snow Mike. seems its all fun and games when it snows and your a kid, once you start moving it 15 hours a day you hate snow..
  14. nice car. Wayne Carini end up with it?? haha
  15. has an air starter to
  16. went and looked tonite, cummins and 10 speed roadranger, nice solid cab and frame and nice hood and fiberglass fenders. I have the number if you are interested,PM me
  17. the B model wiring diagram is pretty simple when you break I down and look at it. I rewired mine, got rid of a bunch of bad wires and ran a few extras for fog lights and etc. I stripped all the old loom off and zip tied where the bends and t's were and fixed it wire by wire. all the power originally came in thu the headlight switch I believe for everything.
  18. I think upstate ny is especially bad. they were out last week on I90 with full iron on, meanin front plows and wing. WTF?!!! its been 60 degrees out. must be the are makin sure everyone knows their route. I know a few guys that plow for the state. they have been buyin Mack Granites for state bid for about 3-4 years now. they NEVER wash them. some eve have the spreaders that spread between the frame rails... who the hell thought that was a good idea?? have heard some of the older s series Internationals and the first batch of Mack Granites will sit in the hanger and all of sudden start leakin gear oil from the trans and rear ends... they are so covered in salt, its rotting right thru the transmission cases and rear end housings. what a joke. I have seen it 40 degrees out and they are sprayin liquid ice melt along with rock salt down so thick you would swear it was freezing rain out, making Longhorn Trucking and Capital district salt lots of money....
  19. was also big problem with the LTl9000 Louisvilles in the 80's hood to cab line was never right, course they probably had 100,000 miles on them and the Macks has 1,000,000 before the hood started to sag....
  20. I think the manufacturers sould have to meet a different criteria for us up here in the rust belt. should dip the whole bottom of vehicle in some kind of plastic dip and EVERY vehicle should come new with stainless brake lines and fittings. I hate liquid salt season...
  21. yup agree, gotta admit I hated the tan interior when its dirty but when its clean and tidy it looks pretty sharp. never really cared for the gray interior or the two spoke rubber steering wheel.
  22. yup, with that air cleaner with a roadranger trans im thinkin it might be an R612 with a 300+ or someone put a roadranger in it behind a 285. either way it has an air cooler and looks like he grille is bolted to it?
  23. lots of amish that migrate from Pa to Ny are now moving way up to northern Ny. you see a lot above Lowville and all along the St Lawrence seaway on rt 12
  24. looks like yours had the glass fuses and someone retrofitted it with something else
  25. up here in upstate Ny you only see the amish and Mennonites using tractors on the farm, you NEVER see them driving up and down the paved roads with them and they all have steel wheels. in our little valley there is the north and south side of the river. the south side they have gray canvases on the buggies along with signal and running and taillights, the north side are brown canvas and your lucky to see a orange triangle on the back before they hold up traffic or cut in front of you
