  4. My grandfather bought an engine and trans on stand a few years ago that was on a sawmill. 673p with a 9 speed overgear! guy cut the B67 behind the cab, and hooked in right up. place I used to work had a U model Mack hooked to the sawmill, 285 with a 5 speed behind it. cut the rear end off and hooked it right up. that's actually where the rear end for my B613 came from

  10. the cone hubs are called ''full floaters'' which means the axle is double splined and floats in the cap. never seen any reasoning in the hubs. use to be 5 spokes were 34's, 6 spokes were heavier. I have seen 44's with 6 and 8 nuts. every 38 I ever saw only had 5 nuts. the newer 38's with buds had 8 nuts but didn't have 5/8ths studs.
  11. had a great time, fist time I been to Trucktoberfest. the power parade is a nice touch. lunch was great and thanks Doug for all the effort put in. I had to get up after awhle tho, just cant sit still that long . meet some nice people. met a few people with big egos in the crowd, bigger than mine haha. I built my truck and and enjoy drviing it, some people think im some young kid that doesn't know much, that pissed me off a few times but I cooled off. liked it and probably will go again.

  14. they used the cj/cj versions in NYC with high lift coal bodies on them in the 30's and 40's. found a cj in a scrapyard a few years ago guy wont part with it. sits in mud up to the hub caps
  15. talked to someone this past weekend at a truck show in Balston Spa that said that guy won that truck in a raffle and expects to sell it for tat and make a big profit but like everything, only worth what someone will pay for it
  16. we are stayin at the hawthorne suites right down the road, we walked from there down to the Fogelsville in last year for Macungie.was not that bad of a walk and I could use the exercise anyways. was not bad but the place was packed.
