  1. Superdog let one go????? think we need to start a Mike collection for the goats..... lookin like he needs a herd
  2. looks like someone bent the shit out of the harder to find shutters for a B model.... the ones with the rubber on the lip to seal them
  3. didnt think they you could put the wrong one in. been a while since I had mine apart but isn't there an aluminum keeper housing that goes on top to hold the filter in place and seal it?
  4. purple truck is beyond rough and restorable. cab, fenders and frame and crossmembers are rotted back from all those years up and down the NY Thruway. only salvageable sheet metal is the hood and shutters. it has a brand new 673 in it with rotary pump tho and a 10 speed duplex. it started out as a B42, then they replaced the 40 with a overhead valve 438 and made it a B422 then finanlly changed it over to a 673 and 10 speed
  5. local farmers up here in NY have a few mud dogs that are about the twin to those but they are garbage truck white and have fertilizer boxes on the back. any Macks up here make their way to farmers
  6. Bartnicks Towing, Utica Ny. back in the day picture, and one after we got it and someone painted it god awful Waste Management Purple
  7. yup,not many had the single reuction rear. I know the few I have had were gasjobs and they didn't have the cones under the axle nuts and didn't have the extra webbing inside to support the beaings/hogs heads. I have repowered many gas job B42 single axles . some I just changed the hogs head, some I had to change the whole housing.
  8. seems to be asshole cops everywhere in every small town now a days hawkin around every corner. I like the new town cops that drive by my house 200 times a day and give me the stink eye for having a beer on my front porch but seem to miss the countless idiots driving down my street doing 50 in a 30 tho at all hours of the day. I do agree they need to pull over a few more of these super truckers in their dodges and ford super dutys tryin to be billy big riggers moving trailers and big dozers on them.
  9. so would that have a Lanova in it? my grandfather had an EQT with a integral sleeper with a Lanova in it. cut it up for scrap about 30 years ago. god if we could only turn back time. dunno what Macks we offered with a Lanova Diesel
  10. those C models are so ugly they are cute haha.
  11. I had a whole paragraph typed up on this but my computer seems to be ''a different kind of retarded' today for some reason. like the guys said put a gps in ad drive her first. if you have a single reduction housing, you CANNOT put a double reduction hogs head in it. it will bolt up but the housing doesn't have the webbing to support the bearings and the ones I have don't have the cones under the axle nuts. looks like you are running 20 inch rubber. that loses you a few mph's right there. and like the other said, with a natural 673 you wont have the grunt to put too high of a gear ratio in her. my B613T had a turbo engine with a triplex , on 22'' rubber with a 4.66 ratio from the factory. im runnin a end707 with a triplex and a 4.00 ratio on 22'' rubber now. I don't think I could run this combo if I had a 673 natural.
  12. ship the truck up here bigdog. ill fix that valve right up and park it in my storage lot.....
  13. funny you guys mention the oil feed tube. I took a compressor off once and it didn't have the tube in it AT ALL going thru the spacer.
  14. an end673B and end673c should take the same filter assembly as a 675 as they all have oil cooled pistons , oil coolers and turbos. the spin on assembly like Larry has is more of a needle in a haystack. and yes your unknown line bolts to the back of the oil cooler. just not easy to see in the spaghetti mess
  15. like Larry said its engine specific. one from a 237 might work, but it might not. I think it all depends If your engine has piston oil squirters as this will have an extra hole under that block once you take it off. I think 5 holes and the older engines without piston squirters had 4 holes. I know I have the same filter on my end707 the full flow bypass type. I know its takes the $37.00 filter instead of the $7.00 one! anyways I tried putting the filter set up from a 237 on it and I know something was funky and it wouldn't work so I put the 750c back on it
  16. agree. leave it original. a 237 will fit. know a few guys who have put them in A models so its a tight squeeze but will work. might have to add a few leafs to the front spring pack tho. a 675 is a lot heavier than the original gasjob
  17. yup exactly what GG said. wow never quite seen a bell housing busted that bad. you could probably make a good buck for all the brass at the scrapyard.
  18. would like to have that front axle but shippin to Ny would be a killer
  19. I remember seein a picture of this in a book years ago myself.
  20. just make sure you dial it in with new dowel pins so it all runs true. I think the later ones had 7/16ths bolts
  21. looks like a little Riker muffler on it. a lot of B61T's had that muffler on years ago to give it a little rap
  22. god I never understood why someone would jack up a truck anyways. could be the receiver hitch is the issue. In Ny its illegal to drive around with your hitch and ball in unless its hoked to a trailer. me I personally like driving around with the receiver with the pintle hitch on just for those tailgaters....
  23. tell me about it Mike. I only need 1 myself.
  24. there is a few diff ones. we need to know which you have. some were made with an adapter plate to accept the smaller 67 series trans with a # 2 bell. the bigger ones with the #1 bell bousing size originally had 3/8ths bolts in them. the later ones had 7/16ths bolts in them
