  1. that green mixer needs a dog on the hood and the whole thing sprayed with low gloss clear coat to preserve it. got nice patina
  2. nice pictures. that orange and black b model with the Mack logo n the door looks clean. kinda looks like those aluminum ramps weren't B81 proof....
  3. nice truck either way. better than new. def has a Cresci roller lift under it unless Garwood copied Cresci's lift
  4. seen the Cappello Lj at Macungie several times. its better than new. has a Heil box or something I think but has a Cresci ''Roller'' underbody hoist.
  5. yup, usually 4-6 inches ahead of center. have seen a few as much as 8-10 inches ahead of centerline, that was on a B model with a 517 front axle.
  6. im likin the colors, . . . keep the spokes on the front, makes her look tough
  7. nothing nicer than a white wheel in a mint green R model cab. what are you runnin for a tranny? most older r models have the sticks comin out under the heater with a 72 series trans.
  8. agree, that B model looks pretty salavageable
  9. I dunno just my opinion but it may be restored but the fifth wheel needs fixin if your gonna be towin anything with it, along with the fact it has juice brakes.
  10. wow that rescue truck is nice
  11. I dunno whats hotter. that B81 rolling coal or that black R model yankin' that Fruehauf bathtub
  12. not makin it this year. someone stop at the Macungie Pub and have a cold Yuengling or 3 for me??
  13. im thinkin 7500-8000 brand new. like they said, all in the eye of the beer holder. front wheels might come off the ground with that one someone has the fifth wheel centered on the rear axle.
  14. Mauro's old B81??? the black and red one??
  15. yup, what they said. too long for starters, produces too much torque for the little transmission and is too heavy for the tiny front axle and springs.
  16. not my taste, but least it didn't come back as a Prius...
  17. haha. gotta love a tight triplex. I have mastered mine but everytime i don't drive it for a month or so and get in, it reminds me its a Mack again. get a lil lazy and buzz...
  18. I don't think its a B model visor, if it is its not a lund one. mine doesn't fasten with those two holes in the center anywhere. there is a single hole on every ear and two that bolt to the windshield pillar.
  19. a B42 will get 3-5 mpg loaded or empty and usually went about 52mph. a few went 58 if they had overgear trannies but would take thirty football fields to get there. most B30's weren't much better but drove a few that were fast. the bigger overhead valve 464/540/707's had more grunt than a 673 and would outpull them in the mud or offroad but lke others said, would go thru gas worst than an old 477 or 534 Ford
  20. hawthorne doesn't run a van. don't think any do. I stayed there last year, had to give up my shady spot at the park under a tree for my truck to drive back to hotel. I didn't care tho
  21. nice truck. has a 711 in it by the looks of it cause it has the bigger air cleaner and the turbo/711 bigger radiator
  22. too busy of a summer for us guys.think this will be the 1st Macungie show I have missed in 15 years
  23. was thinkin B model myself . was gonna bid on it. sent the guy a question and never got a response.... I love that
  24. same with their D rod. never seen something blat so much black smoke.
  25. im a firm beliver in tryin every beer. only beer I have fruit in is corona or shock top with an orange. more of a pale ale beer myself. everytime I go into a bar I ask whats weird or on tap I about dispize bud light, coors light, etc. but of course if someone gives me one at a truck show or neighbors house, I cant be rude.....
