  1. Mike that siver and blue single axle superdog use to be Bob Theimers. I remember him building it. use to be tandem
  2. nice. bunch of farmers here in Upstate Ny have the same exact truck, that color blue with white hubs, DMM's, all came out of Fla. bet they were all from the same fleet
  3. id like to have a chrome old style R model bumper like that one on that red truck myself.
  4. put the old style Lund one on mine. dont really care for the look of the rounded one Barry sells but that's about all that's available anymore. I didn't put the center support in either. didn't wanna look at the support and didn't wanna drill a hole thru the windshield rubber. the visor does vibrate in the wind without the center support tho
  5. rears can be had for those. they changed the housing/bolt pattern around 1960-61. they ill interchange with the newer ones I believe, you just don't use every bolt hole in the hogs head.
  6. Santaro kinda dwindled.. went from a huge constuction company, to haulin garbage, to not seein them at all anymore. their old yard use to be full of B model Macks when the other company oned it. they would pile the old B models up with a crane as high as they could when they died.
  7. whats the deal with Pai? they have a catalog? do you have to be a dealer to order or can any of us order from them? jw
  8. amazes me what Volvo has done to the hobby. was gonna buy one of these a while back for stock for a future R model project. they only fit about every R model ever built! think im gonna order me up a pallet of R model vent windows. im guessin the price is gonna hit 'fuckin stupid' pretty soon like the B model vent windows did..... least that way I can sell all but a few pair and retire early
  9. wow seriously? Mack made different wheel well openings for a B61sx?? learn something everyday. thought I knew it all about B models haha. as wrenchin a 53' B61LT the other day. it has checkerboard fuel tanks instead of Diamond plate and the tanks are welded to the brackets, from the factory. even the fuel tank brackets are different. instead of the 2 oval shaped holes top and bottom, these ones have 4- 3'' or so holes drilled in the back and bottom and the brackets have nuts welded to them and the bolts come thru from the inside of the frame. never saw such an animal and its factory, no fuel tank straps....
  10. I put vintage 69 Camaro 327 emblems on the front fender of my 04 Silverado with 5.3 just to make it feel a little better.......
  11. heres ques. im not a camper guy but don't they make a hitch with a shock or something in it so the ridgid truck doesn't bang the trailer to death?
  12. looks good leslie. might wanna purchase some MACK flaps at Macungie tho, just a suggestion haha. jealous myself
  13. has an air compressor... it was in my truck which was originally a B613T that some idiot repowered with a gas job. and went thru a lot of work to do it. nothing wrong with the engine, just dunno why someone would go thru all the work, has a belt driven air compressor. engine is complete, on a stand from carb to pan. has full exhaust with muffler and the motor mounts. had a trd77 5 speed direct behind it with a 3 speed brownie box and an 8.24 rear end. was set up to spray tar. Tar Asphalt Corp oned it in Utica Ny.think they bought my truck, and a wrecked B42 and made one truck out of two.
  14. its a direct bolt in. I have all the brackets, motor mounts exhaust pipes even the muffler. only thing that needs to be done is tri 1/4 out of the top rail of frame about 2'' long and move the steering box over. I have the cut down spacer for it also. of course you could put headers on it and wouldn't have to screw with the steering box. id make anyone a good deal on this complete package if they are interested. its set up for a Trd67 series tranny with #2bell housing but I have an adapter plate for a TRd77 series for a lil extra if someone is serious. 401 was 150hp. the 413 was rated at 200-220. we had one in a 66 R model with a 18 speed double over quad and everyone says its an animal.
  15. believe ALL B models were built in Allentown. the door tag only represents where the Corporate offices were at the time. the early 50's B models said New York ,Ny, then it was Plainfield,Nj. then some said Montvale Nj . and finally the R models said Allentown Pa
  16. I have the engine in stock complete from carb to exhaust to put a 413 gasser in her. complete factory repower from Mack, has about 100 miles on brand new moto actually. took it out of my truck that was repowerd. might cost ya to ship it to Mi tho...
  17. holy shit, even for a Roadranger that guy is pretty rough on it! raking every gear!
  18. went to look at single axle B61 dump one time that had a 318 with a triplex in it. was nice and reasonable but the guy who owned it couldn't shift it for shit and was worried there was 10 lbs of metal and gears in the bottom of the tranny or the taddletale plug on the side with a magnet.
  19. believe all the b models were built In Allentown. never seen one first hand with wipers over the windshield. have seen a lot of B model firetrucks with wipers on the inside and outside of glass tho
  20. hmm never seen the ltl in Corvette summer. where is it??
  21. been mentoned before but an 8.2 litre Detroit I think would fit in there. all depends on the exhaust/steering box. might even bolt right up to the same tranny and I think its in the operating range around 3200 so you don't have to change the rear end.
  22. been quite a few posts on repowering B42's. to stick a 673 and 72 series transmission in there you better have a doner B61 truck for the engine mounts, radiator, 1700 series driveshaft, hogs head out of a diesel rear end etc. you also need the clutch shaft that goes thru the spring hanger or have yours rekeyed as the one for a B42 has the keyway in a different spot. you will find this out f you use a gasjob one in a diesel as you have no clutch adjustment.i say all this speakin of a B42/401. the bigger gas job 464/540/707 you may be able to use the same motor mounts and clutch linkage if the 464/540/707 had the smaller 67 series transmission. B42's have the small 77 series trans. the rear engine/trans mounts are also different between the 67 and 72 series trans.
  23. we're all gonna need some tissues.......
  24. we found the last one finally?????
  25. have double coins on one of our tri axle dump trailers at work. def Chinese tires
