  1. everything went perfect Mike. I think he was more excited that it ran and drove on the trailer ha ha.
  2. wrong Vinny. the firetruck and Fruehauf trailer are moved,. gone. few others truck are moved and the Sears B model is in the hanger
  3. sounds about right. EVERY east coast R700 I have seen had Mack power. mostly V8 Macks to. there might be a few exceptions but all the ones have seen were Mack powered
  4. well the Mopar Mack is on its way to Mike Harbinson country... gave her a last lap around the yard and loaded it on the trailer today.... drank a few cold ones in her around the yard over the last 2 years haha
  5. yea, don't we all haha
  6. even after we all helped you tell Bullmack off yours sellin it???
  7. someone already pilfered some of the data plates but we will save the rest. I have a board with Mack data plates.. gonna name it ' Lost Dogs' I think ...
  8. ......kinda amazed myself that B model has been sittin the that long and no bastard kids have broke the windows or stole the chrome or aluminum......
  9. anyone know where the Phantom is now...
  10. least the were kind enough to leave those shutters after they cut the shell all to hell with a cordless sheer.....
  11. def 55,000 rears on 24'' rubber it looks like
  12. could also put a set of Retrac's on there. B models didn't come with west coast mirrors standard til about 1962 . after that they used the standard Delbar bracket that Watts sells but most were black.
  13. looks like they used a couple different cowls. one has flat glass and one had a curved windshield. looks like Matt's bus use to have a back door glass and somehow got broke.
  14. the split manifold Whites do sound good. had one just like it we cut up for scrap to use the cab on a Wc22T. mine had a Reo Gold comet in it tho
  15. usually you can save the gasket and its stuck to the cover. a thin layer of Permatex High Tack on it and slap it back on, don't use silicone around fuel oil or gas. it always finds its way into where it doesn't belong.
  16. always wondered that myself. after they sling two gallons of bondo in it and primer and paint it in one week, what it looks like after a year of drawing down in the hot California sun
  17. hardnose B67 with a turbo at that
  18. must have been the chiefs son driving? we have that going on here in our dept. chiefs son can do no wrong.
  19. Nice to see another old R saved and not exported. need to drive up and park that R next to Larry s B and racecar trailer ? its already his colors..
  20. im sure your lookin for 2 or 3 piece rims, NOT split rims. split rims are usually Budds and found on old fords, Studebakers and gm's and dodges from the 40's, 50's 60's and are the true widow makers. they were usually hot riveted together and were split all along the center of the rim. 2 and 3 piece rims are still readily available and new at that. only way they become widow makers is if someone mismatches the lock and safety ring with rims. they are meant to stay together for the life of the rim, not be mismatched. I believe goodyear first came out with the 3 piece and it was called the Goodyear Safety Rim.
  21. i called Riker today Al. nice people but they asked me if I had a part number. couldn't do anything with a number. they are sending me a catalog tho. maybe its still available
  22. hmmm wonder if I can call Riker and try to get ahold of one or two....either way that black B model looks tough with the floaters. btw Al, I woult park the old BCR close to Vinny, he might pilfer that Canadian battery box cover..
  23. wow look at that air cleaner Al. what I would give for that B model curve chrome stack.
  24. yup, take side cover off. spray with blaster for a few days. should free up. worse case scenario , undo the lines, the three bolts and the one on the bottom and take the pump of. let it soak in a tub of kerosene for a week or so, then turn the pump over til all the plungers move. you can even take a screwdriver, stick it in the spring and gently tap down on the springs.. DONT turn the engine over while the pump is off.
