  1. I dare say that driver is probably not with us anymore.
  2. looks like a 237 to me. still a nice truck. I like the r model telescoping steering column. have seen few like that and have wondered how hard it is to do.
  3. yup was thinkin the same thing, they are both 237's...
  4. yup use to be a hammered lookin Ch Teals truck I use to see everyday go past work. it was missin the K. this its been replaced with a vision. have not seen it in a few weeks.
  5. 237 with a jacobs brake wtf is wrong with people. looks like it was complete til they reached over and dragged it with a claw. probably another instance where the seller wouldn't sell to anyone but was more than happy to scrap it
  6. hmm paint scheme looks awful familiar.....
  7. agree with you there J, just put it out of its misery already
  8. has the B53 style grille with no shutters in it. could be the truck and someone added shutters and a turbo air cleaner?
  9. guess the air filter is long gone eh Mike? haha id at least like the velocity stack off one of those turbo air cleaners for mine to get the damn thing to stop hitting he vent window. id pay a fair price and shipping if anyone has an original B model one. looks like all those blue trucks might have came from the same stable??
  10. MonsterPaints has some pretty badass finishes also. worth looking up. could be MonstaPaints. I forget which
  11. same here. might be interested In something. lookin for the Mack bulldog edition yellow R model mixer
  12. talked to Jr Collins 2 years ago the Fonda air truck pulls,i pulled in with my B model and he can right over with his golf cart, goes''thats a 711, I can tell'' and talked with me for over a hour like I knew him 20 years as you said. he also took the show that night as well
  13. have a few of those Mike. not sure wanna part ways with them tho. baby quads weren't as tough as the big box, and didn't last.
  14. yup, two new U bolts and a center bolt and your back in business. you can cut the old U bolts with the head wrench and grind that center bolt off and just unstack the pack of springs til you get to the main 3 leaves. then jack both ends up til you can get the old center bolt out and a new one in, then restack the leaves and tighten it all back up with new bolts. not hard just heavy. your right tho, might be cheaper to find Dm800 with newer rears, newer brakes and maybe a higher gear ratio, then stuff and E9 under the hood of that B81 and a 12 speed Mack and your good to go.......
  15. what I would do for that velocity stack off the air cleaner of that blue B model. be a shame for that Mono shift to get scrapped. seems every Monoshift I have ever seen someone has pilfred the medallion out of the shifter
  16. frame and bumper brackets stick out further on that maroon and black truck for some reason also. kinda like the B61's with the cast radiator
  17. Steve Earle, Guitar Town. one of my favs and its the only song that plays on the worn out cd in my B model. always makes me drive faster to for some reason
  18. if it runs, doesn't smoke to bad an has good oil pressure. leave well enough alone. change the oil with some fresh 15w40. non detergent if you can even find any anymore and just run it .
  19. all I know is someone can put that truck or at least that steering wheel in my easter basket anytime
  20. 3 speed Brownie box. they always had that damn stick close to the go pedal.
  21. too bad its all the way in Va.
  22. seriously Barry, we need a block button......
  23. here we go, goddamn exporter again, wtf?!!!
  24. if you can find some good old school 'diamond tread' goodyear 10.00 22's in a huge stockpile, let us all know. only tire you will find is a radial for the front. the others have been obsolete for years and I don't think id put some Chinese one on the front of my restored B. I have had them on the front of my B with and without power steering, steers the same. like they said, run about 100 in the front and 45-50 psi in the back.
