  1. maybe we should start a new Thread Mike? 'Where are they now? or ''have you seen this truck?'' or ''Trucks you use to se at shows that have seemed to dissappear''
  2. looks like ''partially restored'' means straight enamel paintjob to me....
  3. kinda pisses me off all the good pictures the rest of us contributed all to be washed away myself
  4. pretty sure that pic of the yellow dm800 was taken at Macungie and I think to the left in the pic s the door of my B model open...
  5. lots of nice parts there. if the cab is solid its worth the askin price
  6. those Roadway trucks have bulldogs on them! seems every one I saw back in the day use to just have a grab handle on the hood.
  7. green, red, blue, yellow, black, unless special ordered usualy. I think green was most common back then
  8. heres a late comer for mack motor Monday. a pic of my B613T when it was al red with the EN413 Chrysler in it before I yanked it out and put the right stuff in her. I have this engine and whole set up with mounts if someone wants it, CHEAP
  9. 44's have the greasable trunion and usually the 1/2 stiffener plates welded to the sides of the housings. usually the cone axle caps are early 38's and all of 44's. the B model years had the 38's with cones. all the R models I have seen have flat axle caps for 38's which means they have'' semi floating'' axle, the cone caps are ''full floating'' . that's also a 237 which matches the 685 vin number. any reputable Mack garage should be able to tell you its a 237 and not a 300+by looking at it. a 300+ would be a R612S
  10. heres a bad picture but the only one I can find of this truck.this was one of my great grandfathers this B42Sx.s, had about 30,000 miles on it when the driver hit a milk tanker t boned into the tank. drove the engine out the bottom and broke the front axle in two. my great grandfather fixed this cab and put a new front end on it and painted the truck green after. he hated red trucks, said everyone he ever bought one of his drivers wrecked. the same driver wrecked a B62sX that same week by flippin it end over end. never lost his job because, well he was his son in law at the time haha.
  11. wow that thing has some beautiful sheetmetal on it.
  12. what dealer ran that number? ay dealer that serviced that truck since new should know what it is and def what an R685 is. def a 237 with no intercooler present, and def not 44 rears with those bigger spokes. the older 38's had coned and the same hubs as 44, just the 44's had the bracing on the housing.
  13. yup, when I was on bourbon street 2 years ago it was about the same, guess it hasn't changed much. im sure it still smells of stale beer an urine
  14. i dunno if you want ALL of us at your house...
  15. yup, could also be as WA. figured it was a Wb as it has the little round super power cover in the bottom of the grille an the narrow bumper
  16. that's a WB20 something White. has the narrower bumper, the dome vent below the windshield and the wipers on top. the WC' came out round 51 I think and had the wipers below the windshield and an all steel cab. the WB's were wooden framed
  17. only difference in a 401/402 is the 402 has two more head bolts in both front and rear corners on the driverside. they look out of place as they are close to the other exhisting bolts. if the gasket isn't bad, you could always coat it with coppers spray or aluminum paint. I know a little redneckish but it works. last few gaskets I bought from them came from Tidewater Mack years ago.
  18. most of the early b42 tandem double frames were Sx's. after around 1961 the same spec truck came thru and only had an S after B42. don't ask me why . we have several B42's from 1957 to 1964 . the 64 tandem only has an S and was heavy spec and the 57 is the same spec but is an SX.
  19. that red truck is a nice specimen. something odd with the fuel tank? looks like a deeper foot well and the step is all the way to the front unlike most round tanks on B models
  20. Alnye Trucking is starting to haul gas to I believe along with Milk. they are out of Moravia Ny and have a shop in Utica Ny also. as Vinny said, nothing but Macks and always clean ones CL700's
  21. im not a fan of chopped down B mods but that one look really nice. looks good on that chassis. Geroge Tackaberry has the little green one that I think someone in Maine built? I think it has Dodge or 53-79 Ford pickup fenders on the back and is perfect sized.
  22. is Provan still around? seem to remember seeing a B model in a fleet of Bulk milk trucks off the NYs thruway around the Newburg exit. think they were blue or blue and white?
  23. wow those Mason Dixon pics are sweet Mike. wonder if any of those trucks survived or all came back as Nissans. especially since they looks like they might have been turbo B673's with the Kentucky Radiator on them and big air cleaner.
  24. wow all these weight topics. 20,000 fronts. geesh, some B models had 8000 and 9500 fronts and 38000 rears haha
