  1. those R's are nice. don't think they are frame off restores but they are really clean. always look them over at Balston Spa Ny show. the R611 is runnin a double over quad. he also had a really clean B67 right J?
  2. yup, 711's in R models had that big full flow 750 series lubrifiner on it. I have put a few 711's in B models that came out of R models and had to change the bracket and block on the side. Doubleclutch, your reading into the casting waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. they are right, it pretty much comes down to long shaft and short shaft. the longer shaft came with the addidtion of power steering an/or air conditioning in an R model. they are all basically the same water pump with minor differences.
  3. you have the stack part?
  4. wow petty nice. im a diehard Mack guy but someone could leave that two tone white and yellow 900 KW in my yard anytime.
  5. nice setup. I have about the same thing complete on a shelf. took it out of my B model as it didn't feel right in a single axle, you also have to add an extra shim under the spring pack when you add this setup. my box has the yolk closer to the box. I imagine this is just the difference in the column length. mine also has the Vickers style pump that drives off the back of the air compressor with a belt.
  6. they still sell that selecter switch. Napa should be able to get one or they show up on ebay. its just a two way switch like a fifth wheel switch
  7. yea that or I think he is selective on what hes sellin off now. I don't blame him, hard to sell parts when you need them to restore trucks that make your living
  8. the shephard set up I have uses a 21'' wheel with the smaller center. also has the smaller size column and a U joint welded on the shaft that connects to the box.
  9. was that nasty orange color the same one Mack used on the 300+ Mike? or was that more of a copper color? id like to find an original pic of a 300+ so I can paint mine the correct color. right now its been rebuilt and has a gold bell housing, orange heads and gold/gray block.
  10. id like a pipe/stack for mine a well as the damn vent window hits the top when u open the door. I don't need chrome tho. Matt Pfahl use to have sme at Macungie years ago but not lately
  11. does Bobcat still have those god aweful foot controls? they aren't that bad but jump out of a Cat machine with joystick controls and it takes me half the day to get it to move.
  12. god damn I was thinking the same thing Mike! hat a good draft stopper. drooling myself
  13. lost this topic somehow. we have a 430 JD at work, boss paid 2500 for her, I painted it up, sandblasted and painted deck, rebuilt the engine, ,has a complete new rear, will mow grass wth the best of them and your right, hard to find any decent ones used. we are looking for a snowblower for it
  14. little cheap to me, hope its not in Kenya next week....
  15. talked to Jr 2 years ago when he pulled at Fonda Speedway. I showed up in my B model and he came right over in his golf cart. talked to me for an hour or so about Mack motors and 673 turbos and 711's and everything. he asked what my truck had and then goes I know its a 711, I heard it pull off the track and could tell. nice guy
  16. yup, local guy around Canajoharie Ny had it after the auction and when it left Roosevelts yard and I remember him askin me how to hook up the batteries as it had a 24 volt starter. said he was haulin it to NH for his boss so I assumd it sold to someone there.
  17. definitely has a Mack front axle and rear end and spring hangers, kinda looks like and MB door on it actually
  18. yup I know they are tube type but they looks like floaters on the front and super low pros on the back.
  19. drove a few DT466's with 6+ 1 transmissions. really liked them actually, don't tell anyone tho......
  20. im friends with a lot of people that work at Roosevelts towing. I remember the H mode of Bobs and remember it being hauled by a neighbor next to where I use to work. never knew it was at Roosevelts but remember it right out front next to the repowered B42 a Bobs auction. I also remember the H on a trailer being hauled to NH. was blue with a funky white stripe down it.
  21. nice truck. whats with the odd front rims? or do they just look odd because they are red?
  22. have not seen Bobs single axle superdog either. it wasn't original tho, I remember him making it. I was at the auction and there were a lot of big names there. Gary Mahan flew up I think in his helicopter and bought 3-4 trucks. Bob also has a fairly nice restored H model to that I think went to someone in New Hampshire.
  23. by late 61, early 62 they changed the color combos to make things simpler. the frames, bumpers, cow catchers and fuel tanks were all black, everything else was body color. this is also the time the Delbar style mirror brackets came standard with the Mack bubble back mirror head and the signal lights came on the pedestals. any other color combos were options tho.
  24. have not seen the N, last time I did it was at Macungie when they were still sellin parts. yes they had a B68 also. I remember it being listed for $30,000 in double clutch or wheels of time back then. was the same truck that was on the Tidewater Mack t shirt
