  1. dunno, it came out of a B61SX from Ct. wish I know who owned it. ill have to find some pictures of the truck. was thinking it was a short block crate engine from Mack originally that the guy bought to replace the tired 711 that was in it but now im wondering.
  2. still makes me wonder why Mack would even make the 707. why not just put the fire rings on the 711 and turbo it and use piston squirters
  3. doesn't look like its turboed but has the turbo air cleaner. be interesting to know how many trucks had the bigger air cleaner as an option. I know you could even get it on a small B42 gasser if you wanted. I like the patina on that truck, along with yours Ralph Smith trucks. nice to see a restored one but also nice to see an unmolested original sometimes. chec out the angle iron all along the bottom of the bumper for all the plates.
  4. claibean hood for an LT must be worth half the askin price.
  5. yup, I remember the Plymouth Fury. was on TV. asshole Boyd Coddington was there or I was on his show I think, back when all the yelling and screamin for his show and American Choppers brought viewers I guess
  6. Forgot the Fall Guy!
  7. love the C models. put that on my list, right after a Superdog, an LJ with backdrop manifold Cummins and B75
  8. as if Bj and the bear was not bad enough, they had to do that spin off crap with sheriff Lobo having his own show, ugh! and I only got to watch the reruns. was more of a Chips, Rockford Files, A team and Simon and Simon Dukes of Hazzard guy myself. even tho I was bout 3 when most of those shows were on for real, got to watch all the reruns after.
  9. yup, your right Rudy that truck the 13 speed triplex I got was about a 65 but the cab was a 56 and older, had the radio plate in the dash. I have seen that style glovebox on the older 55 and earlier trucks, no every one tho.
  10. could have came out of a cabover, in which case the engine number would be stamped on the back of the block where the head meets the deck and not on the edge of the timing cover
  11. the turbo setup is spoken for if he parts it out haha (clears throat) has a 20 speed direct old school quad, not an 18 speed
  12. just had to take my trust not so trusty work truck 2007 6.0 xlt lariat junk back to the dealer again. taillights went out, on its 5th headlight switch, second Fica module, second computer, all new injectors, glow plug harness, the usual only 135,000 on it, needless to say im drivin the back up, 1999 F350 SD xlt with 324,000 miles on the 7.3 and going strong, pathetic what Ford did getting rid of the 7.3. the 7.3 with 324,000 on it is on its third box from the sander being in it, second set of cab corners, has had a new glow plug harness and oil cooler, power steering cooler and transmission cooler and lines. all that just cause of the salt in Ny. as for the engine, it will probably go another 300,000
  13. probably be there with my truck again this year. we stayed at Hawthorne suites also last year and walked about a 1/4 mile to the Foglesville hotel for dinner, was pretty darn good.
  14. silicone spray also is a little less harsh on engine parts to
  15. yup, and the corner dogs in the door. all that's missin is the gold stripe tires. heres an interesting fact, I saw an old ad for Mohawk Tires the other day, they showed gold stripe truck tires just like the ones the Maxidyne trucks had
  16. haha always gets me that scene in the movie where Jerry Reed lets ALL the air out of the tires to get under the bridge, THEN drives it on the flats, THEN airs them all up in no time and they seat back on the bead again, ahh movie magic.
  17. so where did the truck come from? your only 10 min from me in Canajoharie. we go to the Sharon tavern and the Trion Inn all the time for dinner, small world
  18. been for sale for months, my cousin rode out and looked at it. he was lookin for a good frame, he ended up not buying it but I cant remember why.
  19. aluminum doors are about the worst idea Mack ever had on an R model. damn mirror brackets will rattle and break right off the doors. old R cabs are like hens teeth or worse. if all you need is to rebuild the doors and a few panels, that's easy
  20. I like the looks of them on certain trucks. I put them o mine cause that's how my great grandfathers b1 was back in the day. after driving it to Macungie and Springfield Mass on the interstate I can tell you they are great to drive with. I use the driver side fender mirror all the time for quick glances. the passenger side I have turned up twards the stack for a ''smoke mirror''. I have another small spot mirror on the pass side door which helps for that blind spot while driving.
  21. the end707 was offered AFTER the 711 was dumped. same motor, less hp and has fire rings. still boggles me why Mack would even offer this end707 naturally aspirated engine in the 70's when the 237 turbo was available.
  22. not this one. its def a diesel. has end707 on the timing cover and the engine is listed in the Mack R model brochure. ill have to find it.
  23. as much as a hate to admit it, I kinda like it. looks like a B20 or B30 cab as it has no air cleaner. least its another B model saved and its not on a Volvo frame.
  24. I have seen the engine listed in an R model brochure and the truck on the cover had the bicentennial paint job so im guessin it was around 72-74? it has the engine listed in it as 200hp at 1800rpms with an operating ranger 1200-1800. the truck it came out of was a heavy spec 1962 B61SX and im guessi the truck originally came with a 711 and the owner bought this end707 as a short block and put it in the truck, we scrapped the truck as the frame was shot, sold the rears and the front axle and engine went into my truck an cab and 18 speed double over quad wet into my cousins B68 we repowered
  25. too big and they rattle and break the fenders.
