  1. just think of all that stuff that went in the dumpster over the years. id love a pair of Sears Oil, Rome Ny mudflaps and door stickers for a B model of theirs we have, probably never get any. didn't see any at their auction either. I have an 86 Iroc Z Camaro and am restoring an 84 Z28 now. was lookin for original 80's Z28 mudflaps,. they go for over $100 on ebay! buddy of mine worked for a Chevy dealer in the 80's, they got bought out, he goes we never sold many Camaros but GM would send us all the goodies, you wouldn't believe all the stuff we tossed in the dumpster when we got bought out, UGH!
  2. go figured, the exporters are interested, whowouldathunk
  3. cones on the axles were 38's an up. they were called ''full floating axles'' because the axle was splined on both ends. the 38's and up also had 58 inches bolts holding the cone on while most but not all of the 34's had smaller bolts. never really god the RD and R letters. the older heavy steel nose R models used to be RD's but when they went to the ugly slant nose hood in the earl 90's they called that an RD also. used to be years ago S means straight truck, X meanssingle axle heavy duty, SX meant tandem heavy duty, ST was six wheel tractor or Short tractor. I have seen S and ST's with double frames or single frames also.
  4. in between the big block factory original Shelby Cobra and the 396 RS SS 69 Camaro???
  5. looks like a good buy to me also but needs a big V plow on it and some 14.00 rubber to really be tough RM
  6. how about wash it down with some 409 and bleech, then wax and grease remover and clear coat it the way it is? with all the patina
  7. kinda looks like hes laying in a hammock texting haha. kinda a risky place to take a break, traffic side
  8. must be a really early 56 with the ashtray below the throttle and engine stop and the radio delete in the dash. also has the very early front wheel brake limiting valve. looks like a nice solid truck
  9. most older John Deere's from the 70's and 80's had the either button on the dash. out '77 750 dozer has it along with out '79 644B loader at work
  10. i like the blue and white, local contractor had two steel dash R600's painted bue and white just like that R700 when I was a kid. it aint mean if it aint green but sometimes its good to be different.
  11. I have a picture somewhere of Pat's truck years ago when it still had daytons on the front of it. ill have to find it
  12. nothing wrong with the man in the boat or the chocolate zone, long as she is in the mood for it lol
  13. had that junior Johnson midnite moon one nite with a buddy... we were mixing it with lemonade and Hawaiian punch, then ran out of punch, don't remember the rest of the night but both his wife and my fiancé were not happy with us...
  14. radwillg I didn't offer 500 for everything. I offered 500 for the B61 caband asked if you would throw the fuel tanks in the deal. also offered a fair price for the complete B72, that meant the frame, cab, fenders and the air cleaner. THAT is when you told me you were gonna pass. maybe I took it wrong but it sounded like you got a better offer and didn't wanna deal with me.
  15. Doug was reproducing the extended bumper brackets as well last I knew. I think they were the older style with the pipe spacer and not the newer ones with the angle irons welded in.
  16. yup. same here, lots of people are makin the apple pie but if you make it with everclear, its pretty much shit, yuk. my friend is in the army and actually got me some stuff that 'Tickle' made on the moonshine show. it was peach flavored with actual diced peaches in the bottom. would kick you ass let me tell ya. im on vacation in Nashville for x mas. let me tell ya these boys are serious about their good whiskey down here
  17. yup 990v off 30. we take that route a lot just for a sunday drive. there is a Harley bar on the other side of the dam on 990v that looks over the waterfalls that lead to the dam actually. and if you take 990v all the way around the hill you end up up the road from Oldmacks.com
  18. wow most all hobby shops have been closed around here for years. kids don't do model kits anymore like we use to I guess.
  19. holy shit Ray, you were about in my backyard. the dam is only about 45 min south of me. went across it this past summer with the B model when we did a toy/bike run for kids.
  20. pretty straight looking B model. even the bumper looks decent. you can usually tell how beat they are by how the headlights and fenders fit acoss the top of the bumper and that ones pretty straight. also is exactly like my green truck, besides the top of the hood, everything is opposite.
  21. that orange RD is/was a pretty common sight around upstate Ny in the 70's and 80's. we even had a bunch of Rm's with dual wings like that, mostly Frink equipt. NYS Dot ran mostly IH's up til the last few years and now have Granites but they are mostly straight tandems. most every Township around back then had RD's and RM's and most had V plows.
  22. haha just watched that again last night, always have to watch that a few times during the holidays. ''Clark, if your not doing anything constructive, go in the kitchen and fetch my stogie!''
  23. someone had those Mack script flaps for sale on craigslist a few months back, cant remember where tho

  25. true, never thought of that. seems like it would still have the grilledensor and air to air on it tho
