If you, or any members of you're family (especially kids in the same age range), are interested in making a few cards to send this family would love to have them.
  5. The Mack sign out front was replaced today, ain't she purty?
  6. Trucker Brian Miner was driving through Illinois this week when he says he saw an officer of the law pass him traveling well over the posted speed limit. He says that the officer was on his cellphone as well. Mr. Miner, like most of us does not like the above the law, double-standard of police, so he took action by honking his horn to pull the officer over. What happens next is an amazing transformation.
  7. Switch to Linux. It's free and pretty comparable feature-wise to Windows. If you need to you can even install both on the same computer. http://www.ubuntu.com/
  8. You hit the nail on the head there. You can opt out, device still stays on. Just like a cell phone or anything else connected to a network, it's always trackable.
  9. It looks like this load of supplies is in Ohio, this would be a great way to give the classic truck community a serious boost. PM me if you are interested and I'll get you in contact with him.
  10. I know of a guy that has some medical supplies and food that needs a tractor/trailer to move to OKC, if anyone is interested in helping out I can get you in touch with him to hash out the details.

  13. 6-4 fault code is for the 1939 datalink. The cable allows high speed communication between the EECU (engine) and the VECU (cab). There is a harness connector (triangle shaped) in the engine compartment near where the steering shaft comes out of the cab. Check the wires on both sides for damage.

  15. Ok everyone, here's the information that I have gotten from the family, please feel free to communicate your sympathies to the family. Thank you all.
  16. Yes, I'm sorry to say that Ben passed last night around 11 PM Central time. As of now I haven't heard much of anything regarding funeral arrangements beyond the date and time of burial, which will be Tuesday Dec. 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM. As I learn more I will post details so that any well wishers can communicate their sympathies to the family. I know the family will miss him greatly, as will his many employees.
  17. Indeed it is, one and the same fine gentleman. Mike and anyone else interested, the physical address for the corporate office is below, not sure if that would be the right place to send any well wishes. I will check into it. Thanks folks, . Bruckner Truck Sales 9471 I-40 East Amarillo, Texas 79118
  18. In fact there are many, but this one in particular could use your help. He is a kind and humble man, despite his prominent position. His name is Ben Bruckner. Some of you may know that name, most of you probably will not. Ben was the head of Bruckner Truck Sales until entering semi-retirement a few years ago and assuming a less active role with the company. Ben and his family have been involved with Mack Trucks for decades, and continues to be today. The company was founded in 1932 and has grown and improved under Mr. Bruckner's wise guidance. Recently his health has taken a turn for the worse and his family has asked for prayers for his well being, I am passing that request onto you to do with as you wish.
  19. That EECU is VMAC III. It is for an ASET AC engine. It is referenced as a CEGR engine in the VMAC III service .
  20. Sounds like the EGR cooler probably overheated and cracked internally after the radiator hose blew. A cracked EGR cooler would allow antifreeze to mix with the intake air and cause the sputter you described, and also the coolant pushing out of the surge tank. If you pull the mass flow pipe off of the cooler outlet and look inside you will probably find traces of coolant.
  21. The early '04 emissions MP7 turbos were prone to high cycle fatigue failure. An improved version was released quite a while back, that may have been the reason they tried to sell you a complete turbo.
  22. This is from the rules section at the bottom right of the webpage and was the basis for my judgement. I never meant to imply that political opinions could not be expressed. I understand that these are just jokes, and I've posted similar things myself. I think I misinterpreted the rules somewhat. I'm going to open the topic back up but would appreciate if the more rancorous comments not be made so that this doesn't transition from a political joke to a political discussion. I apologize for any sensitivities I have caused and trust that no permanent harm was done.
  23. Guys, we need to try to limit the political discussion as much as possible in the main forums. BMT is, in a sense, a place of business. I know at my work that this sort of thing isn't really allowable, after all it's not just conservatives that own Macks. I'm going to lock this topic temporarily and then move it to the VIP Lounge where anybody interested can still view it later.
  24. First code is for the turbo, second code is the oil level sensor. The turbo fault is probably the culprit. Look at the inside of the wiring harness connector for the turbo and see if there is a green looking dust inside of it, if so try cleaning it with electrical contact cleaner.
  25. Sounds extra fishy. Were these solicitations from BMT members?
