Not sure of an actual number for you there Mark, but it would be my guess that that one is being stretched to it's upper limits and catastrophic failure is a foregone conclusion in this case.

While we're on the subject of advertisements, does anyone remember one from the 1990's touting the fuel sipping characteristics of the Mack engines that claimed "fuel mileage in the nines"? I distinctly remember reading the ad, but don't recall what was actually depicted in it.

Kinda looks like a Kenworth T600 with B model fenders and cab. What's old is new again.

Works really well for busting up the clutch dust/grease mixture in a bell housing. Just don't get it on your hands, eyes, or other unmentionable parts cuz it stings a fair bit!

Item B is the "dead axle". Item AS is the trunnion bushing. The dead axle is attached to the frame via the trunnion stand and provides the reference point for centering the rear suspension. If you're rear suspension is "wandering" it's more likely that items P and Q have separated plates. The load cushions (items P and Q) maintain the axles relationship to the frame by centering in the spring pack. With age and use the bonding between the plates and the rubber will break down which will allow the axles to shift in their positions. A quick way to check for such a condition is to see if the leaf spring "T" leaf has been banging against the backside of item E.

Hasn't been too bad here really, as far as heat goes, just dry and kinda windy.

But it really is the last of it's kind. Really. There were only 6 trucks built with the Klingon cloaking device in 1972 (that's why there isn't a picture of the truck in the llisting), the rest of the Mack trucks were equipped with the standard Federation variety due to supplier problems with the former. It was later found that the Klingon cloaking device was prone to space/time rupturing and it's further use was banned by the FTSC (Federal Time and Space Commission). At $35,000 this one is a real steal, unless of course those are Romulan Imperial Dollars.

I think the warning light comes on at 223o with shut down at 225o or somewhere in that range. If the shutdown parameter for coolant temperature has been turned off the light will come on but the engine will not shutdown. Try washing out between the radiator, CAC, A/C condenser, etc. If you still have problems drain the coolant and pull the "Y" shaped hose off of the oil cooler and check that the screen isn't clogged full of debris.
