  1. A young boy went up to his father and asked him, "Dad, what is the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?" The father thought for a moment, then answered, "Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and then, ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that." So the boy went to his mother and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?" The mother replied, "Of course, I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great university!" The boy then went to his sister and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?" The girl replied, "Oh, good heavens! I LOVE Brad Pitt and I would sleep with him in a heartbeat. Are you nuts?" The boy then went to his brother and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?" "Of course," the brother replied. "Do you know how much a million bucks would buy?" The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad. His father asked him, "Did you find out the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?" The boy replied, "Yes, 'Potentially', you and I are sitting on three million dollars, but 'realistically', we're living with two hookers and a future congressman."
  2. Is this an E-Tech (six individual pumps) engine?
  3. Peterbilt stock also rose by .002 cents per share.
  4. That increased the value (and the toughness) of the Peterbilt by 150%!
  5. See if you can turn the engine over using a wrench on front crank hub bolt (the big bolt in the center), turn clockwise.
  6. Tell them to reference SB 471-001 New Cast Axle Housing Replacements (Feb. 6, 2007)
  7. The cast housings can be differentiated by looking at the bolts that lock the spindle in the housing. The older style have an external hex head bolt behind the brake spider flange (towards the center of the truck). The newer style have an Allen head lock bolt on the opposite side of the housing (toward the outside of the truck). The newer cast housings use a spindle that is supplied by Renault. They are sometimes in short supply domestically, but they are commonly available, our shop replaced one about a week ago. Replacing the spindle is going to take some special equipment, or you can pull the housing and have a machine shop with a lay down press push the spindle in and out for you.
  8. Don't know where you are, but here is a link to the Mack Trucks website and their dealer locator, you just need to plug on your information. http://www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=5245
  9. Grammar, proper grammar is very important! Glad to hear you daughter is on the mend Rob.
  10. I can't remember where I found these three pictures at. Here are the ones for the HMM front discharge mixer and the F model
  11. Coax cable.
  12. Oops, wrong picture, here's the one I meant to use.
  13. Here you go Rob.
  14. Or Stripe. Could be Spot the Wonder Dog's sidekick.
  15. The fitting should thread into the fan clutch. The thread is 1/8" npt. It sounds like maybe it was a push to connect style fitting that came apart.
  16. Krypto.
  17. A job well done.
  18. It needed a fuse for the transmission installed (somehow the fuse for the ZF Freedom transmission went missing between the time the customer pulled into his shop and the time he tried to pull it out), and it needed the cobbled together Euro PTO wiring setup (courtesy of Muncie Power Products) fixed. I think mostly it didn't want to go out and play in the mud anymore!
  19. Worked on this some today, it tried to look tough and rugged with it's big "cow catcher" bumper and mud splattered all over it.
  20. Purty slick looking unit.
  21. The cast or ductile iron housings have replaceable spindles, the fabricated housings do not.
  22. Welcome back, was wondering what had become of you.
  23. Nature of the beast.
  24. Sorry to hear such news. My condolences to his family and friends.
