  1. Here you go,no it wasn't in the factory holes, hard to see but there was a brace dead center that ran down to the Bulldog. I think it looks better in my scrap stainless pile than it did on the truck, but that's just my opinion.
  2. Even though it's been in IA a couple weeks, finally got the '68 RS763 offically home. Been swamped ever since Mackdaddy's driver dropped it at Walcott, never had time to get it ready to drive home,so another buddy was in the area coming back south empty,so he pulled it home for me. Glad to have it home, now to just get some free time to get started on it. here's the early version on the air ride cab Can't figure out why it has the shift pattern stickers for a 5 speed with 4 speed aux. instead of the right one for a 18 speed Quad.
  3. glad to see it get a good home,I didn't watch it too close, guess i should have. last time it had a pretty steep reserve. I vote for putting a bunk back on it.
  4. 6 or 8 inch neck?
  5. I know this is hard to believe but the late Art Robinson from Utah had a AC that was repowered with a Cummins, what one I don't remember,4BT I think. It also had a 4 speed auxillary, and would cruise nicely at 70 mph. He used to be a regular at Walcott, and really took a liking to Mikey so he let him drive the AC around the truckstop a few laps.
  6. I'd make someone a good deal on that visor
  7. he took the cheap sticker stripes off today
  8. it better
  9. E6-350
  10. wonder why the ED used different headlights than the other E's ? Wasn't there a hubcap available for the rear axle?
  11. looks better
  12. That was know as the Csatari(sp) painting, from the Zenon Hansen era, most dealers had that painting hanging on the wall somewhere. Good find.
  13. Got tired of listening to the kid bitch about driving this 2012 lease truck while his is getting fixed,so I let him talk me into letting him go to MI today and bring this home. Just a note, the visor came of shortly after this pic was taken,a normal one will go on tomorrow (anyone interested in this SS one let me know),a proper bumper will be next, followed by loosing the Freightliner wheels.
  14. thats been on Ebay before, twice at least
  15. No,it didn't but I'd sure like to find one to put on it,always thought that looked pretty cool. I'm not sure about the dogs on the door. Also looking for some green deluxe door panels for it.The interior paint is good enough shape,I'm going to leave as is.
  16. This truck used to belong to a local fuel&oil distributor, started life as a tractor, later stretched and had a tank on back. When they retired it,the driver, who also farmed ,bought it and made it a grain truck.Nothing fancy, all spokes, steel tanks&bumper,E6-300,5 speed, he keeps it nice.
  17. Kaiser Steel Co.,they were based at the Napa Pipe Plant and basically ran Napa to Fontana, with a few trips to Seattle,WA.Mine had a new crate engine in '72,
  18. Here's a pic of the twin,RS763LST3437
  19. I know these will be hard to come by,but there are a couple things I'm hunting for to add to my new RS763. !st is the aluminum flip up access door for radiator used on some of the early Western 700's,as shown on this blue one. Next thing is a set of the dark green pleated vinyl interior door panels with carpet kick panels. Any help or leads will be appreciated.

  21. I think that was their name,I emailed Dave, the guy I got it from,I'll let you know what he says. This truck and its twin hauled steel in CA,I do know that. The serial #'s were RS763LST3437 & 3438(mine). The sister truck was sold to a guy in IN.
  22. I figured that was either for the AC or for extra cooling.
