  1. somebody needs to tell him those steer tires are bias ply,not radials.
  2. Glad to see everything went well. When I talked to Larry this afternoon,he seemed really happy with his new toy.
  3. there were different variations of both hoods, mainly just model upgrades I always thought.
  4. Cool little F but the KW bumper needs to go for sure.
  5. well, there is where you are getting your wires crossed, only thing putting a 12V detroit in your truck will do is make it a RL with the wrong engine, which basically is what you already have, nothing rare about it at all.The only rare ones were the factory installed RL and RS771LST's
  6. Got home tonite, had a fair amount of daylight left,so I decided to take the old F for a spin. I was pleasantly surprised to find 1. my belly didn't rub the steering wheel 2. the old girl drives good 3. it seems to have pretty long legs. One thing for sure,I'm going to learn how to tighten up these damn wedge brakes or they are coming off, either that or I'm going to have to pull a trailer so I can stop..
  7. That looks good, you've got alot to work with there.
  8. Just talked to him, gonna throw them in the firetruck when my friend picks it up.
  9. You're a better man than I am,be tough to let go of that as long as it's been part of your family.
  10. Looks like some lowlife had a good time stealing the radiator out of the one in the 1st pic. Wish you weren't so far,I'd like to have those long fuel tanks.
  11. Name: Arkansas F Date Added: Owner: Superdog Superdog
  12. Nothing yet,no news is good news Dad always says. At least he has his Dad along with the Ford and trailer if something does happen.
  13. Here's the F609ST at home and the Mercury bunk he snagged for me too.Cab ain't too bad for a '66. Floors are good, roof and doors good, gonna need a little patching on the bottom and a little work on some old jackknife damage, but it is very workable. Just gotta figure out why they made the Triplex into a 5 speed.
  14. Everybody say some kind words for Jake in church today,he decided he was just gonna drive the MH home to AR.No doubt in my mind it will make it,but mice had made a home in the mattress at the previous owners place, and even after pitching it out,I still couldn't get the smell out. Hope he stops and buys a gross of pine tree air fresheners.
  15. Don't know yet, wait till I see it in person. Jake says somethings up with the transmission,it's a Triplex, but they've took the compound shifter out of it and been driving it as a 5 speed.
  16. Got this '83 MH ready to go to it's new home at jakebrake86's and his old '66 F model is coming here to stay.More pics tomorrow nite.
  17. I haven't either. My late friend Mike Pagel had 3 or 4 old ScoopMobiles. Pretty sure they went to the scrapper when he died.
  18. I think that first dump is a B53.
  19. This one is supposed to be hiding out east somewhere
  20. Somebody might have replaced the original headlight panels with some off a Hayes, looks similar to me
  21. no but I've seen them put in,some look ok,others not so great. I think Ernies V12 looks good with them
  22. It's a Western F model,if the engine is original it should be a 335 Cummins,as the 350 wasn't around yet.Depending on the frame,it should either be a FS or FL763LST. Western F models were availble with dual headlights on each side, but those there aren't factory.
  23. Hey Jim,good to hear from you. How are things your way?You need to send me your number sometime, lost all my old contacts last fall when my old phone get wet.
