  1. Been listening to my wife's complaining about the front yard being full of trucks for most of the last 3 months so tonite I got home with some daylight to spare, decided to see if the R761 would start. Hadn't messed with it since Denton dropped it off, just took his word it was a runner, and he was right. Threw in a battery, hit the key and nothing,Thought it might have a push button since it was a Cummins, couldn't find one, found a pull out switch that I couldn't identify, pulled it out,low air buzzer started buzzing, hit the key again and she started cranking, turned over for about 15 seconds then came to life. The old 903 sounds pretty cool, not V8 Mack cool, but close. Gotta get the white and blue G73 going tomorrow, going to swap the front spokes out with the budd hubs from the G733 I just got from MO so I can put aluminum wheels on the steer.
  2. how much for the two E model COE's?

  4. That WS is from the Wisc. fleet that we got ours from. They were in the process of painting it after removing their name, but the new owners took it as is. I'm sure he said they were from PA.
  5. The H cabs and B sleeper cabs were built by Orville Body Co. I'd take either trailer load today, for sure.
  6. Whats the story on that one?
  7. Couple more pics from last Sat.
  8. Looks pretty solid, hope you can snag it.

  10. He told me his main haul is municipal sludge . He also has tractors and applicators and custom spreads it on farm fields.
  11. It's really not as bad as you would think. It's 184 in. wb so that helps some. We are going to put air on the cab, that plus pulling an air ride trailer should smooth it up alot. Really,it's not a matter of how the truck rides as much as it is the condition of the roads. My oldest daughter went with us to pick it up and was in a hurry to get home to make an appointment, and Mikey wanted to stop at Walcott,so she dumped me off and I rode home with him from there, It fine on the smooth sections, but you really knew when you hit a bump or when the road was wash boarded.
  12. What does Superdog do for fun on his birthday ???? Drag home an old Mack of course. Like most things I do,there's a long story with it,so bear with me. Years ago,at least 25 maybe a few more,I decided I wanted a G model to fix up . At the time,I'd not yet discovered ATHS or ATCA and computers were something that NASA used,so I placed a wanted ad in Hemmings . Only got 2 responses, one from a guy in OR or WA that had a nice s/a G73,but it was too far away to consider at the time. The other was from a guy in Theodosia ,MO ,said he had a restorable one . It just so happened that my Grandpa and Grandma were taking a trip to Branson in a couple weeks, and since it was fairly close by,he would look it over for me. He found it,looked it over and said no way was it worth what it would cost to get it home, let alone what he wanted for it,but he took some pics and that was that. Flash forward to last month,I was cruising Craigslist and ran across a '69 Pete conv.for sale in Theodosia,MO. A friend of mine had a '68 get really messed up in a tornado last year,so I called him up to see if he was interested. In the meantime, upon looking the ad pics over entirely,I spot the corner of a G Mack in the background. So I called the old guy up and asked about the G,said he was just about ready to scrap it and would gladly sell it too,so I made a deal on both trucks and my buddy went and picked them up yesterday.I picked my Mack up from him today, its rough, but theres more than enough good parts to cover what it cost, but the fact that it's been there all those years waiting on me makes it priceless. I know,I know I'm messed up.. Don't know the exact year, but it's G733LST1108 . Been chopped down to a single axle sometime in it's life. No engine but it has what looks like a R96 Fuller trans. The rear end is a heavy top load Timken.
  13. nope, wasn't me. I can honestly say that's one trailer I've never pulled.
  14. yes,the TRDL1070A I think what they call it,modern day Uni-shift Duplex
  15. yes, this one here had just got thru having the front end gone thru,150k on Re-man engine, last year the suspension was rebuilt, new trunion stand, frame sandblasted and painted, all new air air lines and wiring. There is no way I coulda bought an old wore out '82 truck and had it brought to the condition of this one for what I paid. The farm tractors he uses in his business are as equally nice, each painted black and pinstriped to match the trucks. SS and chrome too.
  16. Told me he was selling 5,lost a contract and had to cut back. This is the 2nd he's sold,I believe he has one more '82 with the 350,10 speed, and the other 2 are '79's with 300,5 speeds. He's put the new syle grille in all of the old ones so hard to tell them apart.
  17. We don't have the St.Jo run anymore that used to keep him in the truck most of the week,so the newer truck just more than we need, that plus easier and cheaper to maintain.(and cool can't forget cool,LOL)
  18. No,we went up through Dubuque on 151 so just skipped through a little corner of IL. You'll have to check it out at Walcott.
  19. Picked it up yesterday, going to be my son's new daily driver. 350,10 speed and Camelback.
  20. I need a radiator cap for my AB. The guy I bought it from thought he still had it but now he thinks he musta got rid of it by mistake. The one I need is the threaded screw on type, not the flip cap .
  21. Just one,Jim.They had 15,had 5 up for sale, one went to PA,we are getting one,3 left last I talked to him. They are super nice, very well maintained trucks,
