  1. Well at least that's one of the 1 in 10 times the exporter didn't steal something
  2. The ENDT675 is a Maxidyne,so it would have been out of a CF,R,or MB 685 fire truck.
  3. What burns me is 9 times outta 10 they'll sell to the exporters cheaper.I can't remember exact numbers but lets just say he was asking 23k,I offer 15k,he sits on it ,exporter comes along and offers 10k,but instead of calling back and ask if I'll still give 15,he sells to the exporter cause he's tired of looking at it. I'm not saying that's what happened in this case, but has happened to me before, they'll sell to an exporter or scrapper before giving you a 2nd chance.
  4. Jerry Thompson sent me pics of that truck when it first was for sale,i'd sure like to know what he sold it to the Nigerians for. I thought he was kinda high and didn't care for the fuller super 10,so I made an offer, but was turned down.
  5. chances are pretty good if it's a '73,it would be a ENDT673C 250 hp. Have him look at the trucks VIN number,it should be a letter or letters depending on what it is,R,CF or MB,the next 3 numbers should be 611.
  6. Tons and tons of old Cummins powered Macks had Mack transmissions. I've also seen a RWS770 with a 12 speed, and a CL733 with a 18 speed Mack
  7. Had a little free time this afternoon so I put on my mud boots and did a little work on my AB. Rob(thomastractorsvc) brought a load of parts to me in KC a couple weeks ago,and there was a hood in the mix,so I got it out and started soaking the hinges. Had them freed up and folding nice in about 15 minutes,so I put it on for a test fit.
  8. Here you go,Josh RS795LS - 5 RS795LST - 1203 RS795LT - 45 RS797LS - 7 RS797LST - 312 RS797LT - 16 RL795LS - 6 RL795LST - 728 RL795LT - 9 RL797LS - 3 RL797LST - 514 RL797LT - 8
  9. the engine code for the 1693 is 55 so all RL755 and RS755's had 1693 Cats.
  10. and there were 61 RS755's built,60 LST's and one single axle LT
  11. that would be alot of fabbing to make that work, but the price is right if the 237 and Triplex are any good.
  12. The code for a 8v71 is 73, There were 294 FL773LST's and 41 FL773LT's built and also 633 FS773LST's and 169 FS773LT's built. It was a fairly popular engine option.
  13. no it doesn't give that info, only other thing it shows is how many were built each year. Yours was one of 53 built in '79.
  14. there were 112 RWS768LST's and 5 RWS768LS's for a total of 117.
  15. Yes,the 771's were powered by the 12V71 Detroit. Mike,actually the RL712LST was a fairly low production truck,only 52 built. Only one other a RL712LS,for a total of 53.
  16. I always wished I was stuck on an island with Mary Ann
  17. I got a special envelope today in the mail. Dale at the Museum was able to get me the breakdown on Hayward build records for each individual model ,not only broke down by the engine code, but also chassis code, too. Some of the more interesting finds, for me anyway. 12 FL771LST's built 6 FS719LST's built 22 FS729LST's built 3 RL771LST's built 25 WS771LST's built 11 RWS795LST's built Also some engine codes I've never seen before I need to research 34,36,62,64,51,73,74,76 If anybody has a Western and wants to know how many were made, let me know and I will look it up for you.
  18. White don't show the dust as bad as darker colors. They quit putting them on at the factory by '79 but I always liked the gold half dogs in the lower door corners.
