  1. I'm too fat to sit on the floor, wouldn't be able to get back up. One of Mikey's friends took that pic and did the special effects. I need him to take all my pics for me.
  2. can't wait to see pics of your truck
  3. I bought a new one for my F model not that long ago, have you tried your Mack dealer?
  4. So the were an Aussie product only, that explains alot..
  5. RM's were all wheel drive single axles, and RMM's all wheel drive tandems
  6. Something doesn't click, build records show there were 4 R863's built, all in '68. These should have the 335 Cummins engines for power. The caption under the first pic says they operated 5 of these with 866 V8's. There were no R897 or even RD897's ever built. There were DML897's but it only shows 2 were built. Definately a mystery
  7. be careful moving those AC's
  8. You don't suppose those are a DML800? there was a little over 300 built from ;73 til '82 but can't say I've ever seen one.
  9. They never made stainless fuel tanks, you will have to settle for aluminum and polish them.
  10. Congrats on getting that truck, looks like a solid truck, just needs some love.
  11. to my knowledge.there was never a 350 or 300+ either for that matter, made for use with Maxitorque direct 5 and 6 speeds. I've seen and heard " I had one of them 300+ with a 5 speed" so many times when in fact its just a plain old 676 300 series.I ain't saying that someone has never cobbled them together, but it wouldn't work for shit.
  12. did you get the black Cruiseliner that was on Ebay?
  13. Back in th,e mid ''80s I saw an ad for a used truck dealer down south that had 10 or a dozen of them,If I remember right $2500 apiece or take all for $20K. They had R96 Fullers in them.
  14. Mason Dixon
  15. Happy Birthday,Vinny
  16. the Eaton will be more than enough,
  17. I see Carry running some KW's now down here, shame,I used to love there old R models with the sleepers. They had a few Superliners & Valueliners for awhile down here right after they bought out ABT. Standard Forwarding used to be owned by the same people as Twin Bridges Truck City, the Mack dealer in Bettendorf, IA.. Nelson Trucking Service was an all Mack company and owned by the same family as H&L Mack,in Mediapolis,IA .Their green Macks with red frames were a common sight running back and forth from Chicago for many years.. They were bought out about 7 years ago . The company that bought them still has 2 of the last 2 new trucks Nelson bought, all the rest are Freightliners.
  18. I'd take it.
  19. Pulley Freight Lines (PFL) from Des Moines,IA ran a large fleet of Macks till they closed up in the '80's. ,Hermann Bros.,now Transwood from Omaha had all Macks. Werner Enterprises and CR England wasn't 100% but both had a large number of Cruiseliners in the late '70's.
  20. LCL either had a terminal or a big customer right across from Peck Pack in Milwaukee,WI. We hauled up there in the early '80's and there were a pair of really nice B61's they were using for shag tractors.
  21. Is there still a McDonalds over the interstate at Belvedere,IL?
  22. I got Super Pup dug out today, had to scoop it out by hand.I've more than had it with this winter. At least it was in the 40's today.
