  1. If someone put a gun to my head and said I had to have a Pete in my collection,it would be a bubblenose coe. They are pretty unique.
  2. I can't believe Dennis Chan sold a Pete, especially that one . Pretty high dollar load there.
  3. Just curious if you are dealing with separate dealers or one that sells both. If it's the latter, which truck brand is the salesman pushing? A friend recently went to a dealer(formerly all Mack until the Volvo takeover and out of spite by me will remain nameless ) to purchase a new truck,he was looking for a CXU,MP8-505,M drive, condo for OTR use. His current truck was '10 Freightliner which he had more than his share of grief with. The salesman went out of his way to try and talk him into a Volvo instead of a Mack. He finally told him if you don't want to sell me a Mack I will go somewhere that will.
  4. the one with the container could be the same as the bobtail, but the one with the reefer has a fuel tank on the left and different horns
  5. I need to go back thru some old picture books,I have a pic of Mikey standing up in the drivers seat of one of my B models with one hand on each stick. It's a classic.
  6. Breaker bar on the crank pully,or what I like to do is jack up the back end and leave it in gear, then you can rock the wheel back and forth.
  7. This is the first Mack my son drove. '65 B61LST,ENDL711,18 speed Quad. He started running it around the pasture as soon as he could sit on the edge of the seat and reach the pedals.

  12. the build sheet says my '25 AB was painted #33 Green Lead
  13. The build sheet for my '25 AB says the paint color was #33 Green Lead
  14. Those first couple pics look like R model work to me.
  15. Here's one of my B-65's
  16. A B65 was a truck of its own, shorter than a B61,longer than a B67. There were also B61's with the concave cab. Rob Thomas' has one,I have 3,it was an option.
  17. Mack drive axle hubs are pretty interchangeable, you should have much trouble finding a set of used hubs, $400 for a new wheel??? Damn!
  18. its a tag,the front is definitely a Mack drive axle on spokes
  19. If its factory turbo'd one it would be a B-673 and they only made 176 of them,so it would be a good one to get.I'm guessing there were several that had turbo's added later, also so you'd have to check the numbers.
  20. should be one on the truck,if it still has the original,it will be a round flat chrome knob with stop engine printed on it.
  21. if you are pulling it only thing you will need is the fuel shut off cable,in for run,out for stop.
  22. I knew that guy looked familiar
  23. I remember see pics of those trucks in Double Clutch long ago.
  24. were you thinking of this one,Al?It's at Gerhart's now.
