  5. looks homemade to me, like someone took a pair of the old half dogs and made a mold and poured it out of aluminum.

  11. my old 950 CAT loader was so wore out 5 times out of ten you had to pull on the linkage cause pulling the pedal up wouldn't work.
  12. gotta remember, they ain't making them anymore. All the ones that have unjustly went to scrap in the last couple years, plus good trucks that have been butchered for "parts trucks",this one will seem cheap in a year or 2
  13. I wish it was. I do remember seeing it back then. Used to be a lot of CRST o/o's running around my area.
  14. If I remember right there are a total of 6 removable pieces to the floorboard, the big main center piece,L frt corner,R frt corner,2 pieces around the steering column and clutch pedal, and the crossbrace.been a few years since I had one clear out,but I think that's right
  15. 73 was the first year for them
  16. I hate to see anything bad happen to this old girl, looks like she's had a bad enough life, but I gotta pass, just too damn far to make it work for me.unless the truck was free, and we all know that won't happen. Hope someone can snag it. I can't help but think that's a 375 in there since its gotta 12 speed. The cab don't look that bad,the sleeper just makes it look worse.
  17. Saw this on Ebay, just passing it along. Bad motor but the rest looks pretty decent.
  18. yes, they were a nice copper color, I might have a brochure for one somewhere. I'll never forget when H&L Mack let us have one to demonstrate for a week. It was a plain jane R model, white with spoke wheels. We had F models at the time so it was kinda cool to ride in something with a hood. Dad thought is was OK,but didn't pull like his V8. Grandpa didn't like it,had to shift twice as much. I don't think there was anybody that loved the Maxidyne,5 speed combo more than my Grandpa did.
  19. Main reason I remember the change was Dad's '80 Cruiseliner had the nasty orange engine, but still had a gold Bulldog. The last batch of Cruiseliners Grandpa drove back from Hayward were '81's,Maxidyne engines painted blue and chrome Bulldogs.
  20. The gold Bulldog was placed on all Macks with the Maxidyne engine when it was introduced in '66. The engines were painted gold and remained that way until sometime in late '79 when Mack had to quit using the gold paint, the engines were then painted a sick orange for about a year or so,then, when the Econodyne engines were introduced, all engines were painted blue.from 'sometime in '81 on,the gold Bulldog was no more, all were chrome again until it was brought back to the hood of the CH and CL Elite package in about '93.. then a couple years later in was decided to bring the gold Bulldog back to all Mack powertrain spec'd trucks..
  21. Wait a minute,I thought I was next in line??????
  22. that B&R truck was a Mack
