I've seen ones that actually had IH cast into the housing,on IH's of course, I'm sure you are right,Ron,they were Signal Stat.

That's funny Ron. Our first Cruiseliner we bought new and it came with bullet lights and dual horns. Our second one was bought used with only 36,000 miles. The original owner had a heart attack and laid it over. The local dealer put a new cab on it and sold it to Grandpa. The owner of our local dealer was a little on the frugal side,so he ordered as cheaply spec'd cab as he thought he could get by with. First thing Rex,our driver said when he got the truck was" the cheap bastards only put one horn and IH markers lights on it."

    Why ?

As usual, I'm doing my quarterly IFTA report at the last minute. My '88 Superliner avg. mpg was 5.89 . The '07 Rawhide my son drives was 4.44 mpg. I gave $63k for my son's truck. By the time I got my little Superpup painted, I had just over $8k in it. I spent right at $10k in repairs on the '07 in 2013 . I blew a 25 year old airbag on the '88 last year ,less than $200. That was it ! I'm done with the 21st century and it's improvements in truck efficiency and technology . Time to start work on another Superliner for the kid before I can't afford to truck anymore.
  4. This is the only H63 I've got,but it seems like a few been coming out of hiding lately . I do have a couple crusty H67's. One of my oldest friends very first tractor was a H63 and I've got him convinced to go in with me fixing this one up like his old one so he can haul his old Massey Harris' to shows..
  5. Got rid of a couple offbreeds and instead of doing something stupid like paying bills or saving it,I re-invested in some more precious metal. Only 2 1/2 hrs. from home, too. END673,Duplex, somebody has replaced the rear end. Hasn't run for years, but it ain't stuck. It's staying in the previous owners barn till spring. First pic is of it when he found it in KS a few years ago. 2nd one was in his barn.
  6. pretty sure there is only a .02 ratio difference in the Mack and the Fuller,so that shouldn't be an issue, the Mack is .71 and Fuller is .73 if I remember right.

I noticed that too,Mark. Didn't some of the UPS F models have weedburners ?
  11. if that is a full cab kit,$600 ain't bad at all. Kinda wish they'd show a pic of what you are getting, though. good job finding that kscarbel2 , I'd never heard of that place before. I think I'm going to order one of those kits too.

  13. This guy knows how to play in the snow in style
  14. that's how the CH door panels are attached until the rivet pulls out of the cardboard, then the good old fashioned screws come back out
  15. is Sierra Sid's still open? I was there once in '81 made it far enough inside the casino to see the KW with all the slot machines before they ran my ass out.
  16. Yep,too bad we got the " I'm going to go tell your mom on you" look instead. Thank God they did the set forward axle version of the CH,it at least looked a little more stout.
  17. That's the 2 stick 6 speed,so it would have had the ENDT676 Maxidyne. In '78 these would have still been painted gold.
  18. No but a friend of mine says he can get a set for me. I'd like to pull the 10 speed out and but a 2 stick 4x4 in it too.All that's a long ways off though, just gonna get it cleaned up for now,I wanna take it to the truck pull this May.
  19. saw that on Ebay, too. Pretty rare to see an E with budd wheels.
  20. JC Whitney used to sell the ones with light up eyes, they were completely hollow, the back legs were molded together and used one center mounting stud. There was a removable plug in the dogs chest to get to the bulb. They also had non lighted ones, same way, hollow and back legs molded together. Neither had Mack on the collar or the patent number on the dog's chest.
