  1. that's a 6 speed, use lo hole in first for creeper gear, otherwise leave it in direct and drive it like a 5 speed, you can use any gear in reverse, you can even shift gears going backwards if you want to show off, most of the time I'd use 2nd or 3rd to back up.

  4. I've seen similar several times, nothing to be concerned about unless drum is cracked.
  5. I'll be here if I can get it to work
  6. Don't know yet. It's just long enough for a 36" now,but we are planning on stretching it out a little when we swap tandems. If I remember right, you can get 22 more inches by using the last set of holes as the front ones when you move the trunion back, then just have to add on to the end of the frame.
  7. I wish they were the same truck, the first pic is my first Superliner,a '85,made the mistake of trading it off in Dec. '94. The 2nd is my tribute to it,the '88 I bought a year ago. And Al,the bunk and 2nd stack are in the works.
  8. That's pretty cool Brad. You need to find one of the old Mack HMM mixers.
  9. The first E6 -300 air to air Econodyne engine I remember seeing was in a '81 R model,Shortly after that is when the engine numbering system changed, but the engines, with the exception of the air to air ones were unchanged until '85 model year when the 4v E6 engines came out.
  10. How many people can say they've made this much progress in their trucking careers.25 years ago and now.
  11. The V12 powered RS and RL771's had factory dual aircleaners. By the way, anyone know the status of this truck? It was advertised here a few years ago,V12 replaced with a E9.
  12. Don't tell anybody,but mine has Freightliner air cleaners,13".
  13. That's what they called mine too,Cellulitus. looked that up it said infection of the deep layer of skin or muscle tissue. Then that's aggravated the Lymphadema.. Damn swelling starting to go down into my foot.
  14. same guy, and yes I heard to he was doing another Mack with a MP10 but from what I heard it was an older Superliner.
  15. I was thinking that yesterday by the time I got home. Tried to plan where I never had to come to a complete stop, driving like I had no clutch, worked pretty good except for loading and unloading. Had to lean right and pick my leg up by hand to use clutch.
  16. I wonder if she still looks that good ??
  17. Had to grab a can of Skoal when I got back and this big dog was sitting at the truckstop up the road from me this a.m. I think it looks better out working than when he is showing it.
  18. Guess I'm going to be layed up for awhile. Been fighting Lymphadema in my legs for a couple years now,got the right one pretty well under control but the left one been fighting me. Jammed a piece of angle iron into it this summer and had to get sewed up,but it didn'tever want to heal clear up, kept leaking just a little every once in awhile. I could usually control the swelling with compression wraps, but lately it ain't worked, got to hurting really bad and turned nice bright red, went to ER got infection in the damn thing now. Bout ready to cut the SOB off.
  19. there are tons of old Mack dump trucks out there, but you are competing with the exporters in that year range. You wanting a single axle or tandem?
  20. Sorry Ken,the cab is already spoken for. Sold it as a package with my MH Magnum .It's a real nice cab,not tore up inside, but dirty. Truck has a bent frame. Engine is going into my other white '88 Superliner with the ventilated block. Only thing I'm going to have left of the MH will be the trans.,a T2090.
  21. If there is one,it will be on the injection pump
