waiting at the truck wash,took an old trailer to auction,hopefully the wash job will pay off. Took the lease truck today,not impressed with modern technology at all. some of the trucks at the auction site,Standard Forwarding,Mack customer for many,many years,under new ownership,selling all there green non-sleeper Visions&CH's&R's,several on last 4 auctions or so,,this must be the last of them,23 on this sale1990 to 2006. Don't know the Rawhide,but it was needing some love. Stopped at the Iowa Machine Shed for a late lunch Had to get back to reality so took the EF ffor a ride when I got home,started to rain,though,need to get wipers fixed.

Got new window in the EF,they evidently thought I couldn't rememder which way to put it in. A friend of mine wanted to trade working on my Autocar for a sleeper and some other parts he got from me for his White 9000,so he came and picked it up. 1st load of hogs since my knee surgery,sitting in line to unload. they have these big fans to park by to keep hogs cool. Local Mack dealer had an open house for their 60th anniversary,had this M-drive demonstrator there,no I didn't drive it. Also had this B85,their '28 AB,and my EF. Also attended a car show Nothing like driving a governed truck.

from what I've seen,the extended bumper was a option on the RW700 only,they also had the center mounted tow pin

in '79 it would have the big pan,54 qt. total,pan & filters

i'm not real tall but weigh 400 lbs and I fit in my Superliner just fine.

yep,it was a hard decision,but knowing what it would cost to have the work he's going to do to the Superliner,I think I'm coming out money ahead of selling it outright and paying to have truck redone. Plus,most of the scrap I traded for the wrecker I'd gotten cheap or free,so I didn't have much actual cash in it. It's a nice old truck,but it still needed alot,I hadn't even began to try the winches and controls to see what was froze up from sitting. I'd just got it running ,cleaned it up good,& did a little painting on bed. It will have a good home,& being only 8 miles away,I can visit it anytime.

in a way I hope he keeps the same paint scheme on the wrecker.

complete new Imron paint job original color,emerald green metallic just like it left factory,fix hood ,new sleeper vents,and fix a few dents on back of sleeper.

not hardly,thats one of my cousins, This truck was delivered right before my 18th birthday,about 3 weeks after our shop burnt and I lost my B model.

Just about 10 years ago, I bought back the '85 Superliner my Dad got new,he sold it in '97,causing the biggest fight we ever had,but thats another story. Any,it was in pretty sad shape when I got it back,we cleaned it up,worked it some,& slowly as time and money allowed started to fix things. Got the interior pretty well all done,new carpet,drivers seat,sleeper boot,heater/ac box,overhead console. It's kinda been on the back burner for awhile now until this weekend. Last week when I picked up the new window for my EF,the owner was there and he said he'd sure like to come out and look around,that I had the coolest spot in Louisa county by far,and that someday he'd like to fix up an old Mack and make it a wrecker. I told him I had one already set up with a 750 Holmes,it was in pretty good shape,just need some TLC from sitting,I'd already done alot of clean up and replaced some missing things on it and had it looking presentable. He stopped in and fell in love with it,so instead of selling it to him,I traded it for getting Dad's old truck redone. His Hot Rod/car restoration/body shop does really super work,so I can't wait to see how it turns out. Here it is almost new before we put bunk on here it is 10 yrs ago shortly after I got it back and here it is Sunday when we dropped it at the body shop

Here's a 1940 BX dump I used to own,sold it to a man in MI last spring,he has several of the older B series trucks. The cabs didn't age well on these,probably why you don't see many around today.

If I were you I would go to Washington and load it up.Tell them your great grandfather didn't donate it to be stuck in a warehouse & forgotten.

I learned to drive on a '67 C750 livestock truck my Grandpa had,so I've got a soft spot for them.had 6 at one time,down to 4 now.

Wish I had some pics,but a good friend of mine had a MC685 tractor he ran for quite awhile,hauled livestock,grain,flatbed and tanker with it. The local Mack dealer ordered it as a single axle tractor and it sat on the lot quite awhile,Larry was needing a new truck and had a couple old F models in the weeds,took the tandems out of one of those and made a twin screw MC.

the plastic repro's aren't very heavy duty,might hold up for awhile on a show only truck,but I dfoubt they'd last long in everyday use.
