  1. I hope to see it too. Mikey took off with it when we got it unloaded,and hid it at his place. I can't get anything new anymore without him laying claim to it.
  2. Well,this ones home. Pretty happy with it.Has Hendrickson Suspension ,10 aluminum wheels,all pretty good tires,a little cab rust and one chunk out of the hood in front. It's a keeper.

  6. You know the thing that really bugs me ? Can't say Christmas anymore,no Pledge of Allegiance,no prayer in school,Muslim president,and everything else that ain't PC ,but our money still says in God we trust and those same whiners sure don't mind spending it.   7. I saw one MH at the local auction several years ago that had a 8V92 and a Allison auto.Super decked out,I want to say a '85 or '86 and wasn't over 5 years old at the time. There is a picture of this truck in one of the Mack picture books that are out,the Ron Adams one I think. Also saw a small group of 6V92 powered MH's on a Taylor & Martin auction flyer several years ago. Silvey Refrigerated Carriers from Omaha had a large fleet of MH's that were pretty much equally divided with E6-300 Mack,Formula 300 Cummins,and 3406 CAT's rated at 300hp.Taylor & Martin sold them out back in the later '80's .

  9. under the old system,643 was the V8 Cummins,but the new would be the Detroit.The 2nd number in the new system is what indicates engine manufacturer only,not which engine. 1 was Mack,3 Cummins 4 Detroit,5 Cat. That's why a MH613 could have a E6,E7 or E9.
  10. Most I've run across were short wheelbase,5 or 6 speed,spoke wheels,34k rears on Camelback.Seen a few with 44k rears too.
  11. How many of you remember Mighty Mack?? He used to be in owners manuals ,and other literature in the '60's,always offering sound advice or adding worthwhile comments." Mighty Mack says ....................." I stumbled across this NOS Mighty Mack beach towel on Ebay last week,it arrived today.Pretty cool old advertising piece,never seen anything with Mighty Mack before.
  12. 516 RD700's were built,largest number was the RD795 at 218,followed by the RD797 at 192.
  13. I remember when the MH first was available,H&L Mack got in a yellow one with brown stripes and brown frame. One of the salesman and a suit from Mack brought it up and had a portable tape player showing a short video of the features of the new truck. We only ever had one,a '84 we bought used in '88.The guy we had driving it died a year later. He was same as family,drove for Grandpa for years,took care of the truck like it was his.We sold it shortly after,cause it was too hard to put someone else in Rex's truck.
  14. Mack engines available in '77 would be the following: ENDT675 (237 Maxidyne) ENDT673C (250 Thermodyne) ENDT676 (300 Maxidyne) ETAZ673A (300 +) ENDT865 (325 V8 Maxidyne) ENDT866 (375 V8 Thermodyne) You could also get just about any Cummins,Detroit or Cat engine of the time also
  15. When I bought the old '80 Superliner off Rick awhile back,one of my oldest friends in the world picked it up for me. Larry is true old school, runs all over hauling RGN stuff,been to Mack dealers all across the country. When he got back,he told me every Mack dealer in the country should have a guy like that running it.
  16. There was an article on that truck in Overdrive several years ago. Seems he was getting ready to paint it about the same time Mt. St. Helens blew her stack. He decided he liked the bare aluminum look and polished it out,rather than paint it with the ash still floating around in the air.At that time it was just a single axle with no bunk,it's underwent another rebuild since then.
  17. The "Superliner" Dennis ended up with was in fact a RS700 that had been refitted with a Superliner hood.It had a 300 with a 5 speed. I inquired about it and pointed out the fact it was a RS,not a RWS and he basically told me he had been working with Mack trucks for over 50 years and I didn't know what I was talking about,but a week later he changed the ad.
