  1. From what I've heard most of the trouble with the 2090 is caused from trying to shift them like a Fuller 9 speed. They were meant to be shifted Lo(1st) 2nd,3rd,4th,split to hi and come back into LO(now 5th) 6th,7th,8th,9th. So you use 4 gears on lo side and 5 on hi side instead of other way around. It takes getting used to,but it works really nice.Unless I have to come to a dead stop I rarely have to go back into the lo range.
  2. Perlux made the OEM ones. Pretty sure they are still available. I know I've seen NOS ones on Ebay
  3. The Mack 9 speed has a .71 overdrive, the Mack 18 speed would be the same. Not sure about the Fuller but always thought it was a .73.
  4. that sounds like a Cruiseliner set up,protoype maybe?
  5. Had some company from up north this morning, 57BCR,PeterMack,and Big Iron Tom .
  6. Jake, that '79 R model I bought earlier this fall has the back wall mounted A/C .Ain't nothing I'll ever use.
  7. My AC was working great this week. Especially the last couple days.
  8. I don't know what years on this newer stuff interchanges but I have 2 takeoff stainless bumpers from 2007 sfa CHN613.
  9. I don't know why you couldn't as the first generation 12 speeds had 2 sticks.
  10. what you see is what I got. Luckily,I recently acquired a quantity of misc. AB parts that Rob AKA thomastractorsrvc was kind enough to pick up for me in the KC,MO area. Hopefully between those and the rusty remains of an AB I already had, there will be enough to put it all together. It does run, and the seat and windshield has been redone. The seller didn't share any history as of yet.
  11. Just made a deal on this TV star '25 AB Mack. It appeared on an episode of American Pickers. Hopefully picking it up Sat. if I don't have to haul beans and the weather cooperates.
  12. I've seen all pink pull over hoodies on Ebay with white logo.
  13. I want one too. Probably the most trouble free new Macks made.
  14. no in 10 years you will have old Macks still doing their job, unlike the other brands 1/4 their age. I run a '88 Superliner every day,put 1090 miles on it just yesterday. I have a '07 Rawhide my son drives every day. So far this year I've spent more on repairs for the '07 than I paid for the '88.
  15. I've seen pics somewhere of one of those trucks, That is a good find, those double cut out Able 60" are few and far between.
  16. its stamped on top of frame on the left side near the front of the hood. If it's anything like mine,it can be hard to read as the hood rubs on it.
  17. soon as it gets here, don't worry.
  18. does yours have the neutral switch on the dash? In cold weather I used to flip that switch and put trans in gear while truck was warming up,that way trans. was warmed up too.
