  1. That's really, really cool, Dan. You will be able to hook up 3 or 4 trailers and haul your old ones to shows Aussie style. If you get stopped, just tell the cop you made a wrong turn somehow, went thru a really big water puddle and ended up here. Wish I could afford to take that extra Superliner off your hands.
  2. The mercury sleeper on the GMC pulling the camper came from me. If had had known he was going to hack it up with those big windows,I never would have sold it.
  3. it even got a 2 stick 12 speed, that's too bad. but I've seen even worse
  4. a friend of mine from home is there,he just called me.
  5. a couple of those wheels coulda came off an old Mack trailer, that would explain the size difference
  6. the hooded bezels you can order from Iowa 80.They fit KW and Freightliners.
  7. yeah, that low mile DM815SX that was up in NH at Joseph Equipment. He was asking a mint for it. Had big ass rears and juice brakes.
  8. A 747 would have had a 290 or 300 Cummins,so it must have had a swap at some time. Wish it was 2000 miles closer.
  9. Friend of mine drives for a coal hauling outfit, they run mostly T6 KW's and a few Petes. Said the last new ones had PACCAR engines. Constant electronic problems ,their new ones are getting Cummins engines.
  10. nobody makes anything anymore. I was lucky enough to get 3 sets of the Bores stainless fender deflectors remade last winter, the place I ordered them from had them listed as a stock item and found out after I ordered them they were out.Evidently they had enough pull with Bores to have my order filled.
  11. I have seen 3 styles of those now I think about it,oldest I remember had the Bulldog over the Mack in heavy block letters, then the style Terry showed in his pic, then just block letters MACK. the new ones are all plain chrome.
  12. Simply, the Maxidynes were designed to be used with a straight 5 or 6 speed transmission and had a wider operating range,1200 to 2100 rpm for the sixes and 1200 to 2400 for the V8. The Thermodynes were built for use with multi speed transmissions ,and had a range of 1500 to 2100 for the sixes and 1500 to either 2300 or 2500 on the V8's. A 500 Magnum is the same as a E9-500. The Magnum series was Mack's way to introduce the new 450 and 500 hp ratings of the E9 V8 engine.
  13. How about I get my place on the list for a post convention tour. I sure hate to miss out on beer and hotdogs.
  14. The V8 blocks were all 864 cid, just like the 673,675,676,678, E6 were all 672 cid blocks based off the original END672 Mack/Lanova diesels.
