  1. The shutters were probably stainless.I found a set when I was sorting thru a trailer a couple months ago.
  2. only in the western models as the 2nd letter,or 3rd in the case of the early Superliners,RL,FL,WL,RWL. I really don't think the fuel tank alone would give it a "LS" status, but in the case it had other alum. components,a DM607LS would be really rare I'd think.
  3. was it something cool like a RS700? I don't kow what all has to be adapted, but I've heard of industrial engines in road trucks before,so it has and can be done right.
  4. 4:17's on 22" rubber and a direct trans should be good for 68 at 2100 if I remember right
  5. if it's something you want rid of or will loan,pm me
  6. Damn, that 5th wheel would make a good counterweight,if nothing else. You wouldn't have a B81 emblem, broken is ok,just looking for one for a pattern.Gotta guy says he'll try to make a mold for me since it don't look like Barry is going to get anymore.
  7. 283 hp.,the 300+ was a Thermodyne, cameout in '75,315 hp.,designed for use with a 10 speed. The majority of the 300+'s sold around hear came with the RT1110 direct trans.,3:65 Mack rears and 20" rubber.
  8. That interior looks nice, rest of truck too. If that still had a V8,wow!!
  9. If you end up parting them out,I'd be interested in the door tags.
  10. they have lots of stuff wore out, but from lack of quality, not longevity
  11. I like it,I also vote for leaving it blue.
  12. Take the money you would spend trading and put back into the older ones.
  13. That was the lineup of demonstrator tractors introducing the new ENDT676 Maxidyne "300 series" ready for delivery to the dealers.
  14. an inboard drum is mounted to the backside of the hub,so like on spoke hubs, you have to remove the complete hub/drum assembly to replace the brake shoes.Outboard drums slide over the inner wheels studs on the outside of the hub, take the tires off, remove drum and you can replace the brake shoes without removing the hub.
  15. guess they were around a lot longer than I thought,I figured they went out in the late '70's
  16. Lilly started back to school on the 19th Got one of the parade pics to load finally. One of the landing gear on the old trailer was bent and when I unhooked it bent some more and the trailer caught my 1/2 fender, didn't hurt the stainless part but had to re-weld the bracket
  17. I've seen several late production first generation Superliners titled as '85's,that's not unusual..
  18. Busy day today for an old fat man. Started out taking this old trailer to the scrapyard. Got back just in time to take Super Mutt through the Town & Country Day's parade in Mediapolis. sorry pic wouldn't load. Got back home and finally got the NV B73 unloaded so Mikey could use the dropdeck. He went to IL to pick up some old tractors he and a friend bought. Had to weld a 1/2 fender bracket back on the white '88,had a little trouble at the scrapyard. Then worked a little on the AC. Still waiting for the mag to come back.
  19. don't see too many RB tractors, that blue one looked decent.
  20. You know, guys, this is sad. A good friend of mine is rehabbing his 1.75 million mile '97 CH right now, because he's sick of the constant " little problems" his '11 MP8 is having. With the so called technology we have today, there is no excuse for these kinda problems to arise to begin with, but when they do,why does it take multiple trips to the dealer to cure?? That's why I thank God everyday for my Superliners.
  21. I wish I could find pics of my old pickups I've had. First one was a '79 D100 Dodge short bed,slant 6,3 speed.Then I had a '65 Chevy C10 6 cyl. blew up so I put a 350 Buick in it. Next was a '79 D150 long bed,360 V8.traded it for a '80 W150 Power Wagon with a 318,also had a '82 D100 slant 6,4 speed shortbed,then I got a '85 Ford F250 4x4 diesel,It was a POS,got rid of it and got a '92 D350 ,360,5 speed with a flatbed,that I still have.Also had a '76 W250 Power Wagon with a 400,a '76 D150 Club cab Dodge 360 V8(still have it out in the weeds)and a '77 Ford F150 with a 351,and now my '93 W300 4x4 Cummins dually.Last 2 vehicles I've bought for my wife have also been pickups,a 2001 Dodge extended cab 2500 diesel,that my daughter has now,and currently a 2010 4 door 2500 4x4 diesel.
  22. if it's as good as it looks,$4750 would be a decent price.,lots of goodies there,headache rack,stobes,1/2 fenders,alum. wheels.
  23. wish I had the sunvisor off that red Dodge for my dually.
  24. Thanks for the pics,Ken. My Grandpa had a Dodge Rampage identical to the one pictured. Got my first speeding ticket in it.
