  1. Ditto. Just the other day I was heading out to load and met a friend of mine who is the only other guy locally that runs a Superliner on a daily basis. I picked up the CB and said " Danny,do you ever sit back and think how lucky the 2 of us are to get to drive what we do everyday?"
  2. OK,I see what you meant, now. It's expensive to do anything, anymore. We dropped right at $300 for the 2 of us for 2 days, but that included one nite in a motel, and our food and fuel.I couldn't imagine taking a family to somewhere like Six Flags or Disneyland. not that either would be in my top 1000 places I'd like to go.
  3. The guy that used to own the local Massey Ferguson dealer restored one just like it several years ago, used to always be at the local parades and Old Threshers every year, but since his health went south,it has been out for quite awhile . I keep thinking someday it will pop up for sale .
  4. $175/day??????? Wow,only cost me $11/ticket,plus $10 to park.
  5. just to look around, she shows animals at the county fair, but we don't have the money it takes to compete at the state level.
  6. do yourself a favor and stay with the round ones, the chrome will eventually blister one top and before you know it,they will rust out.
  7. No Ken,this is my daughter,Lilly. My baby girl, she'll be 14 in Oct.,where does the time go? I have no clue about the pics, probably a combination between an old cheap camera and me taking the pics. The Cat is on permanent display. The 3 ATHS chapters I belong to are trying to get the 2017 convention to be at the fairgrounds in Des Moines
  8. Took my youngest daughter to the state fair in Des Moines for a couple days. Only Mack there was this LE doing it's job.(I swear I was taking a pic of the truck, really) Thought this was kinda wrong, but at least they had it mounted right. A big Cat and lots of old tractors. 3100#+ of bull Really old school "truckin"
  9. Congrats on the new one.
  10. I sent you a PM with a lead.
  11. that should be a pretty good truck,I've known that truck along time, though I haven't seen it in the flesh for a few years . I do know I wish I woulda had the money last year when he offered it to me.
  12. I'd say the hood is original, somebobody just put the big letters on the front. From what I can tell in the pics, anyway, the back of the fender looks to be of the older style. Hard to tell about the miles.
  13. me too,Mark, that little vintage bunk, dual stacks and tube type tires, that's a classic.
  14. I've seen that one in person,it has a huge sleeper on it,he's a custom harvester,he hauls his equipment and grain too.
  15. I just checked the Brockway site and there was a side pic of it there,it belongs to Baldwin's,& has a custom tilt hood. Someday I'll get some little stickers made up and I'll send you one.
  16. Vinny, did you get any other pics of the black 760 with the sleeper, first time I've seen that one. Paul P.'s COE looks great as usual. It has some parts from Mike's Quality Used Truck Parts on it.
  17. nice bunch of trucks, looks like Caine had a few there, wonder if they still have their Superliner??
  18. look up the '71 U685 on CLin Albany,Vinny. You'll piss right down your leg when you see it,but it's not real cheap.
  19. That is a nice truck for the money, newer cab.It won't last long.
  20. Ron & Mike Bogan came from IN today to get a RS cab. All went well,no bruises, blood or broken bones, didn't even catch anything on fire.
  21. The END673 and ENDT673 where the only options then. Some 673's had the separate intake manifolds. It's hard to tell what alls been changed sometimes. You'll just have to check the numbers on the engine.
  22. That old girl needs some love, bad.
  23. wonder if that's an actual U626 or if someone just cobbed in the Detroit ?? Roadway had a bunch of 626's that replaced their U773's,but that doesn't look like a Roadway spec'd truck. Shame to see it get crushed.
  24. Are you sure it's a 711? It would be a repower if the truck is a '57,as the 711 wasn't available until '62. I've never had a 711 that was in everyday revenue earning use,but I have one '65 B-61 with a 711 that did see occasional use moving the occasional bulldozer, hauling scrap metal, and moving other trucks, and it never gave me any problems.
