  2. ball is right as in sweating mine off
  3. Planning on it,less miles, lighter, better MPG,money talks. It will give me a chance to get some odds and ends done to Super Mutt, she's earned a little rest.
  4. Got her home about 4:00 this afternoon, just quit for supper.Got RH mirror on,RH door put back together all but the lock(need to get a new lock set),both wipers,RH grab handle, both cowl grab handles, block heater plug, all the emblems on the hood, both head light bezels , the cowl rubber and one horn back on..Gotta get some hardware and rob a few parts tomorrow..
  5. that impact is your trouble. They are fine for buds but you don't need them for spokes., I never had a lick of trouble in all the years we ran spoke wheels, all I ever used was a big 4 way and a cheater bar for final snugging.
  6. This is what I was going for,to copy my first Superliner I had 24 years ago.
  7. yep,had a little work to do to it but should be ready to paint next week.
  8. should be ready to bring home tomorrow, can;t wait to get it put back together
  9. I didn't either,Vinny.
  10. a quote from the movie " O Brother where art thou" can't think of the actors name, but they were in an old general store, everything he wanted the store didn't have but they could get it in 2 weeks
  11. I'd say it's a B,not sure which one but it could be a '28 as the BJ was first built in '27.
  12. A friend of mine here in town had ordered a new Superliner II in late '84,RW613,E9-500,12 speed, it wasn't ordered as a Magnum, but somehow it arrived with the Magnum branded tires, but I'm 100% sure they were 11R24.5.
  13. Excellent write up on the Magnum's in the new Double Clutch, good job Will. Great cover and back cover pics too. Any old Mack guy (or any other old truck lover for that matter) who isn't a member of ATCA is missing out.
  14. Blows my mind how you guys can call that a part's truck,,wish I'd had that much to start with on my first one. What's going to happen when all the complete B models in that condition have been cut up for parts, what are we going to have to work with then????
  15. Tom Gannaway had 50 or 75 pair made a few years back. Maybe he'll see this and chime in or somebody can get ahold of him.. Never did get a response out of Barry on the B81 emblems,so maybe they aren't wanting to commit to any more repro stuff.
  16. I'd take the dusty, rusty AB over a shiny White anyday.
  17. looks like a decent little MB
  18. this is the red '88 Superliner I bought in December.
  19. I didn't take the windshield out,the rubber was good and it didn't leak, seems like everytime I ever took one out,I spent a month getting it to quit leaking.
  20. if mine had looked half as good as yours,I wouldn't have worried about it. That red was faded so bad, plus there wasn't much paint left on the roof.
  21. Damn, that hurts. Hope you get it back on the road soon.
  22. Making progress, sorry for the crappy phone pics.
  23. I can't really tell but it looks ok from what I see I'm pretty sure I have one of those off the truck,I'll look it up and compare it to yours,.
