  1. Glad the stuff worked for you, looks real good.
  2. There's a '90 on Ebay right now that looks really clean, says it's low miles, same owner since '92.I tried to post a link but it won't cooperate.
  3. That's the same one that has been on Ebay several times
  4. That is cool as hell, love the sleeper.Looks like it'sbeen in hiding for awhile. Without pics,I would guess you have a EN-354 engine.
  5. I just hope it was pretty far gone to start with.
  6. nope, that's the first I've seen of it.
  7. I figured on normal parts, all Mack dealers had to use the same price book. What would set of 5( 4 regular and 1 short) OEM Mack bullet lights cost me? Any word on the B-81 emblems?????
  8. They sure don't like to negotiate,I've tried to buy 2 trucks there,a '78 RWS766 Superliner that had been their a long time and that black R773 which has been there a long, long long time. Their answer to my offers was" the exporters will pay what we want"
  9. They need to change that saying to "Built like an old Mack Truck"
  10. I wish I woulda checked Mack's price first , I woulda done the same thing.

  12. Decided to replace the little amber lens marker lights on the '88 with chrome bullet markers, saw a set of 5 at Walcott last week for $99.95,but as we all know, you need a special center one for a Mack,so I just called my dealer to get a set ,4 standard and the short center one. Not in stock of course,so they ordered them . Picked them up Sat., $427.00 .I justa bout choked on my Skoal. My own fault since I didn't bother to check price first, but damn,I didn't dream they'd be that far outta line.
  13. no,they made alot of single axles too.
  14. didn't happen to ask what they wanted for it?
  15. Shiner went from a '97 E7-427 that he bought new and put 1.7 million on without ever having the heads or pan off,to this one,MP-8 445 hp. He doesn't like it nearly as much. He's about as old school as they come, first truck was a H63,and he's having a hard time swallowing the new technology. It really would not surprise me if he doesn't sell it and put his old truck back on the road before the year is up.
  16. Sorry to hear it,never met him but he sure had some nice trucks.
  17. The key to a Dynatard was having the valves set right and keeping them set ,they wouldn't thrrow you thru the windshield like the Jake on my blue '86 with the Cummins but they done a good job. I had a '97 with the Stealth Jake Brake, also,it was worthless.
  18. Thanks for the pics, wonder if that RL was an old Vitalis truck?
  19. Guess I'll have to look over my other 2 over closer, but this is the first frame like that I'd noticed. The trucking to Iowa about killed me,seems me and my hauler had a little mis-communication on the deal. Plus they had it at Yakima and didn't register it for the show like I asked. From now on,if I can't pick it up myself,I'm going to make sure the guy is a Mack guy, sure can't count on PACCAR folks.
  20. I wish they were real 5 hole wheels,Dan,these are just chrome wheel covers.Of course if they were the real deal,my luck they'd be all blistered on the back side.
  21. I had one on a T2090 that was always tough, even when I put never seize on it,Found out if I loosened it when the transmission was still hot,it would spin right out.
  22. Thanks,Rich, looks like it was a good show.
  23. Got this home last Sat.,still on the trailer for now.Has a 220 with a turbo,Quad. and 6:34 rears.Looks like it was somebody's baby at one time, dual stacks, horns, spots, chrome hubcaps and wheels covers on the steer, cap and bands on the air cleaner. The frame kinda has me wondering.I've never noticed a B 70 anything that had a "fish belly" frame. It's kinda hard to see in the pic but this one does not have staight rails all the way thru.
