  4. For sale, fresh out of the Nevada desert,'74 & up RS 700 cab and hood.Cab is basically a shell, most of the dash is gone, padding needs replaced, has nice roof mount A/C unit, some minor damage from being banged around, but a nice solid cab.Nice hood, needs only minor repairs.Wasn't in my plans to sell these but getting my stuff home ended up costing double the original "quote". Make offer.
  5. if so they been keeping it a secret
  6. looks like that place needs a good look thru by a BMT camera team
  7. Why not buy 15 good used Macks?I've got no faith in new anything,I don't care what brand, especially if it was going to be a dumptruck, who would want all the electronic/emissions headaches in the type of environment a dumptruck runs.
  8. I don't know where you are located, but you'd be better off finding a buyer for the whole thing, either an individual wanting to fix it or one of the bigger places that specialize in Mack salvage,Manders,Global,Sparr,etc.. You start parting it on your own, things go damn slow.Tires and wheels usually go pretty quick, but assoon as you start busting the rest of it up,things become less valuable quick.
  9. I think it's cool as hell,a factory 8V92 powered Superliner is definately on my wish list.
  10. Last time I was there I tried to buy that R700,it has a 318 Detroit, they didn't like my offer, think they wanted $4K.Hood is pretty busted up in the front, They had 2 of those quicky red painted Superliners, one was a '87 with a E9 they musta sold it,were asking $19500,that one there is a '79 or 80 and they are asking $15500. The RS is a '74,pretty sure it's been re-cabbed,they are asking $7500 for it,Guess that's plenty considering the frame.
  11. Good to see you are still above ground,Fred. Ever talk to our buddy in AZ anymore? Still got that DM800?
  12. oops,already picked it up????????
  13. you gonna pick up Dodgeman's rearends when you pick up your MH?
  14. I couldn't afford a paint shop either.A local guy is doing it for me,he paints in his spare time, built a paint booth in his dad's machine shed.I've seen a couple cars he's done, nice work and really reasonable,I thought.
  15. Where you at Appell's this week???
  16. Mike, That LFT is cool as hell. You really have a keeper there.
  17. no,they look funny without one, especially with a short w.b. R models are daycab trucks
  18. between my shoulder ,my back plus it being too damned hot,I wasn't moving to fast Mon. a.m..
  19. yep,2 things a Superliner has to have,a bunk and dual stacks, otherwise they look naked.
  20. no red, definately not.If all goes as planned it will look something like this.
  21. Got the '88 stripped down and delivered to the painters Sun. Picked a bad day to do it as it was way too hot,but all the kids helped and we got it done without totally killing me off. Still have to get the vents replaced on the sleeper and get it to him,but I probably won't get it on right away, anyway.
  22. there was one of these in the "sound room" when I toured Allentown in '76. they only made 14 of HMM685's and 130 all wheel drive HMM6856's.Definately a rare dog.
