  1. Nice LJ radiator shell only $175 OBO
  2. If it's the one that was on Ebay,I already talked to him
  3. I hear ya,Matt.I do have a few they gave me,but had to buy most. There's a few minor things they copied that weren't quite period corrct or factory installed, the ether cap on top of the air cleaner, the van trailer had newer dollies and the front angle brace was torched off so it wouldn't catch the tractor frame, some extra lights,on the lowboy, the king pin had been moved and there was an extension welded on the front, they copied it exactly, along with the homemade ramps, and deck boards installed width ways instead of lengthways(had new deck when I bought it).On the 1/25th scale B-61ST,they copied my Bett's coil spring mudflap hangers with the corners cut at an angle.
  4. A new cab would explain why the truck was painted from the original Magnum colors, coulda been wrecked. The VIN number listed is a Magnum #. No,I never called about the KT truck. Can't afford it, so no sense wasting his time.I'd love to have one, someday.Found one last year in TX that was really nice and affordable, but the guy changed his mind about selling it.I've supposedly got first dibs if he ever changes his mind, heard that one before, though.
  5. The guys from First Gear spent alot of time at my place when the were designing their first B model replica. They really enjoyed the fact I had some B models partially dismantled so they could see things not visible in a complete one. They also used a '47 Fruehauf single axle van trailer I used to own as a model for their little van trailer.
  6. Sometimes I wish I still had it,but someone wanted it alot more than I did so I sold it.That trailer was used by First Gear as a model for their 1/34th scale lowboy replica.
  7. If it's a tandem tractor, you don't need the front brakes by law .Anything built before Jan.1979 insn't required to have them unles it has only one rear axle or is a straight truck.. I sure wouldn't waste good money putting them back on.
  8. My '65 B-61LST with 1946 LaCrosse hauling a D7E Cat dozer.
  9. These aren't the ones advertised, this old B-61 is pretty rough, but will give you an idea what the flared fenders look like. You sure don't see many. By the way, this old girl would be for sale too if anyone is interested,it's pretty rough,'its a 1960 B-61ST,END673,with 10 speed Duplex, intact but untested,517 front axle,no rear ends. 12 cents/lb.
  10. I ran out of time today, had to pick up 4H goats for my daughter and had a benefit to attend. I'll try to get some taken tomorrow, along with a bunch of other stuff I've pulled outta a storage trailer.
  11. What is sad is the very thing that got Mack in trouble to where they got bought out is the fact they made too good of a truck, and weren't selling enough new ones.A Mack customer buys a Mack truck knowing it's good for as long as he wants to run it,and most did just that, first owner Macks would be 10,15 or 20 years old before being traded.Unlike the competion trucks that were ready for the junkyard after 4 or 5 years.Guess they don't have to worry about that anymore.I still think that Macks are superior to the competion, but with todays trucks, that ain't saying much.
  12. I'd have bet money with the budd wheels and what appeared to be an air start tank on the right,it was ex-Celli.
  13. A friend of mine that lives near Des Moines bought one of those K series Oshkosh's on a gov't auct. in TX. Really cool truck,KTA 600 Cummins,Allison auto, surprising nicely upholstered interior, under 100k miles.First rip out with it,he drove it to one of our ATHS chapter meetings. The very next week it got stolen from his yard.Luckily,he had surveilance cameras and it showed the truck being loaded on a lowboy, pulled by a Pete 362 COE.The license wasn't clear enough to track it down, but luckily enough, his nephew was able to track it down,it was recovered in NE Iowa, about 170 miles away, the theif had cut the top out of the cab to clear underpasses on the way back to his place. After alot of hassle, they were finally able to get the law to check it out and they got the truck recovered.
  14. The 21LS parts truck you mention, does it happen to have a carburator?
  15. mmost of the weatherstripping and stuff you can match up with NAPA or a glass shop.I have a little extra A model stuff.
  16. Once again,I can't get a link to post, but Magnum Superliner chassis # RW613-001350 is listed for sale on the TruckPaper site, repainted but has Magnum on hood, factory day cab,450 ,9 speed, specs check with Will Wingo's Magnum data base.76K miles supposed to be actual.
