  1. This ad features an old Pulley Freight Lines R model, they were out of Des Moines,IA
  2. that is nice shape,it is very possible not to have front brakes depending on the date it was built,as I recall, anything built after Jan.1,1980 had to have front brakes, anything prior was optional on a 3 axle tractor.
  3. basically there were 3 styles of openings,"crawl thru" which was just a window size opening,"sit down" in which the bottom of the cut out was level with the mattress, and "walk in" where it was cut clear down to the floor.
  4. The older ones both R Westerns and F Westerns had the "gullwing bumper".The lower part of the grill was hinged.
  5. Going to have to sell a few if I'm going to,haven't had very good luck at that lately. Sad part is when the last owner took it to the truck auction and it only brought around $8k,I found out about it a week to late, that was 10 years ago or so.Sure would like to know how it ended up in houston
  6. not so on the firetrucks,Vinny. For some reason Mack chose to use the model #'s B75 and B85 twice.
  7. WMAQ,that brings back memories.I was in love with Nancy Turner.
  8. I bet that Superliner glows in the dark. Most of them have a little too much "bling" for my taste, but sure can't say you guys down there don't take pride in your Macks, well done.
  9. now you just need a W71,................and a H67...................and a F model.............and a Cruiseliner...............and a MH
  10. Here she is in the good ol' days.RW613-001114,E6-350,Dynatard,T2100,4:17's on Camelback,212" w.b.,36 " Able sleeper,11R22.5's on all aluminum wheels. If you look at the older trailer beside the new one I'm hooked to,you can see how well turned up she was.I had to put taller stacks on before Dad would get me a new trailer.
  11. Well,if anybody smarter than me can post a link for it for me it,it's in the Truckpaper ads under 1985 Mack Superliner RW613.It's at Worldwide Sales in Houston.
  12. WTF??? Can't you share TruckPaper pics anymore??????????
  13. Here's a pic from TP,it's in Houston,TX. It was turned into a dump truck by the guy that bought it when I traded it in.He did take good care of it,don't look like it's had much love since.Had a million on it when I traded it in Dec.94,wonder what it's got now.
  14. During my weekly browse of Superliners for sale on Truck Paper,I found a very sad but familiar face, trying to post a link but not having any luck.
  15. at least you can get them, try ordering a F or G model windshield.
  16. It was pretty well known that Mike Parkhurst liked Macks, but he wasn't afraid to criticize them in his reports. Anybody else notice they had the pic of the passenger side storage box upside down??
  17. I've got one somewhere, kinda like a little kids tin badge, and I've also got a hat pin badge,it's much better quality. Besides being an old time famous cowboy actor,I thought I read somewhere that Dale Robertson also had ties to trucking, that's why Mack chose him for the ad campaign.
  18. Hope I'm not boring you all with my trip to the past.but it's alot better than the present in my book. Remember this guy??
